If you want to watch a terrific film with Simon Helberg (Howard), I recommend Florence Foster Jenkins. He's got a great part in it and the lead actress is Meryl Streep. It's super funny and kind of sad, and the most surprising part is the story is based on an actual person. You should react to it, Nick!!

I think one reason Sheldon and Penny connect so strongly is because they're both the "underdog" in the group while simultaneously being "special". In Sheldon's case, while a genius, he struggles with social awareness and communication. Penny doesn't have the education every single other person in their group has and was initially the only girl. They balance each other out bc Sheldon understands and misses the emotional guidance from his mother and sister and respects her. Penny, in turn, is often patient and provides a lot of emotional and social guidance, even if it's unintentionally. So they raise each other up and provide support

One of the beautiful aspects of this show is that between the writers and actors, they took a lot of stock character traits and over time made deeply complex believable characters that were interwoven and grew together. Their quirks, played off each other in a variety of unusual circumstances, made the show endlessly entertaining.

I think this show is really good at subtly changing and developing characters over time where like if you watch season 1 then season 8 it’s like woaaaah so different but if you’re just watching through it was much more of a natural slower development.

Hi Nick I really needed these episodes today ! Your reactions about Howard & Bernadette are insightful at how their dynamic is changing and there clearly is no one else for Howard that will get him the way Bernadette does . I mean I am all in for good Penny & Leaonard episodes but I find Howard's hint of Krazy is charming for Bernadette . I think your perception of each characters personality is on Par... the cast has such a way of expressing nuances within their characters that even though the series has stopped years ago I feel invested enough to watch this now and years from now. I really appreciate your take on TBBT and FRIENDS .I am here for the journey . I actually am looking forward for more of these and the fact that your channel does give your subscribers& patreons the feel of nostalgia when watching these again like the first time is much needed in todays society. I love how the relationship between Sheldon and Penny has progressed since Season 1. I love how the brother and sister relationship continues to evolve even more. The fact that Penny is one of the handful of people that understand him and Penny is one of the few people that Sheldon trusts is beautiful in its own way

28:19 I would say Howard was channeling his inner Chandler, because that's what Chandler did when he had his first real fight with Monica; he proposed to Monica in front of the rest of the Friends. Also, I have always thought of Howard as the "Chandler" of The Big Bang Theory.

Kripke is the most unlikeable character in the series, but at the same time he’s endlessly entertaining for the same reason. I can’t stand the guy anytime he’s on screen, but any scene he’s in is contradictingly better as a result. “A KZbin hate comment personified.” Possibly the best description of Kripke ever made.
