Awww, Absolutely loved that side question from Brandon asking if he was stable. This just gives away his sincere desire to be the best man and husband he can for Sheretta. Shows how much he loves and cares about her. Loved it. God bless you guys and your marriage! X

Coco_Toertchen Amen! How we will treat our significant others is largely predicated on how we relate to other loved ones in our lives. May God bless you!

amazing video! so much of your answers resonated with me and my relationship. although we're not virgins, we are waiting until marriage. it's amazing how when you have a heart for God, how easy it is to let go of distractions that blind you from your intended (purpose, mate, etc.) thank you for sharing and being so honest. seeing young black Christian couples practice what they preach inspires me to keep going in my relationship (2 years strong woo!)

J. Orgill What a testimony!! Thanks so much for sharing that with us. God is so amazing in how He restores us back to having a right relationship with Him. Surrendering those distractions is crucial to actually seeing the plan that God has for you. You’re inspiring us just the same by witnessing how great God has been in your life. Praise God and may He continue to keep you! P.S. Congrats on 2 years! Such a milestone :)

Hello Brandon and Sheretta, First of all I like to thank you for presenting your views on this subject. Even though it all seems like a terribly American way of the whole courtship story for a European guy like me. But I learned a lot from you. Still I have a question. I imagine that you were in two different places in your growth towards God when you started your courtship and continued that path of growth together. How did you solve this difference and get to a point where you thought you were so compatible that you wanted this courtship to be a marriage? I'm sorry for any linguistic mistakes since English is not my first language.

robbert van nes Hey Robbert! Thank you so much for watching and offering your comments on the video. We haven’t encountered different cultural approaches to courtship but we’d love hear more about the perceived differences in the European approach. We know that we’ll constantly be learning on this journey so please feel free to share with us :) To answer your question, yes we were in two different places in our walks towards God before commencing our courtship. However, we found beauty in that - just as friends - we were able to edify one another with the different things we were learning and experiencing. That edification process carried over into our relationship and wasn’t something that we both set out to solve. We were on the same page with our beliefs and commitment to God but God was still working on both of us in different ways. Where we aligned was on the purpose of our relationship: to glorify God in all things. As we continued to remain committed to God and to that purpose, He blessed us with increase in our love for each other and revealed His desire for us to marry. We believe that our agreement on the purpose of our courtship allowed God to unveil how we would complement each other and reflect Him in a marriage covenant. Nevertheless, we both understand that our individual relationships with God take first priority in our lives, and that we won’t necessarily be in the same exact place in our growth. Yes - we should both be growing but God may work at different times to help us in our individual journey. And now that we’re cementing our relationship in marriage, the mutual growth and sharing process will continue even more. We hope that answered your question but if you want to talk more about it, feel free to shoot us an e-mail at worththewait18@gmail.com. God bless you, Robbert!

Hey guys, I would like your advice, before I start I wish you all the best and you guys make a cute couple. Well here go, I met this guy through a mutual friend and I start to like him . We haven't met in person yet, but he has been texting me and he called me the other day. I just don't want to get caught up like I have in the past. How do i just think of him just as a friend instead of a potential? I am 29 years and I want the next guy I date to be my husband like Sheretta I don't want to waste my time anymore.

mpierreable Hi!! Well thank you so much for that and praise God for leading you to our channel. We hope that our answer to your question blesses you and helps you further think through this situation. We would never claim to know everything so what we’re sharing is just from our personal experiences. First of all, if you haven’t done so already, we highly encourage you to seek God in prayer for discernment on this new friendship of yours. Ask for God to lead your conversations and interactions with this guy in a way that won’t leave your heart open to negative influence or to being led by your emotions rather than the Holy Spirit. Secondly, we believe it would be a blessing to you to diligently study God’s Word on the traits of a godly man. As you pray and study, God will open your eyes to see whether or not this person not only possesses those traits but is in fact the man that He has created for you. And lastly, we suggest having a very open conversation with this guy about his thoughts on relationships so that you can gauge his intentions for talking to you. This will help you determine whether or not his communication with you is genuine and Christ-driven or coming from a negative place. We tried to keep this short and to the point but if you have any additional questions about this, feel free to reach out to us via our e-mail at worththewait18@gmail.com. God bless you!

i'm feeling so hopeless right now, I've gone round and round with my unbeliever boyfriend and he ended up leaving me. I feel it was God that worked on his heart and made him the one to leave me because I would have kept wandering in life, away from where God wants me to be. But it hurts so much, and I'm feeling so lost after 6 years in the relationship. I'm feeling so guilty for all the mistakes I've made in the relationship, that it makes me want to run back and claim my name and make up for all the wrongs that I did. But my ex made it clear to me that he would rather look past me. This does not feel good.

M Miranda Hello, it is such a blessing when God removes things from our lives.. I know its hard but God know's whats best and what's best is that we are closer to Him. Sometimes we make relationships idols and put people up on pedestal when God is the only one that we are called to worship. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and He rose and He is the only one that can take the guilt away. Go to Him in prayer and talk to Him like you would talk to a friend. God is ALWAYS THERE, He sees whats going on inside and He's the only one who can truly fill us up. In God we are new and old things have passed away, it is such a journey but surrendering yourself is the best decision you can ever make. Ungodly relationships are destructive and lead to sin. You dont need to "clear up your name" for the sake of trying to make yourself look better because it was never about people in that way.. I mean its alright to ask for forgiveness but that relationship needs to stay in the past. We serve people out of our love for God so you should go before God and ask Him to change your heart towards these things. Cry out to Him... I've been there.. in those unhealthy relationships that consumed my life and every thought but theres SO MUCH HOPE IN JESUS. Jesus changed my entire life and entire mind. IM NOT PERFECT but I feel so content and loved by Jesus. Jesus cares about you.. He really does. Our relationship with God is what matters and then through our relationship with Christ everything else starts to matter! You will make it by God's grace! I believe and I'm praying for you! This is a moment to fully surrender to Christ, Jesus took him out of your life for a reason, Jesus is calling you to something beautiful. Anyway... God bless you. I'm going to pray for you right this second!
