Children are abused and mistreated in several different ways, all of which are abhorrent to God. The Bible prohibits child abuse in its warnings against improper anger. Too many children are the victims of angry beatings and other physical abuse as their parents take out their own anger and frustration on their children. Though some forms of physical discipline may be biblically acceptable, such discipline should never be administered in anger.

I agree with you. I'm not completely convinced she 'knew' he was using her daughter, yet. Willfully ignorant is different from "being checked out." Had she honestly not known, she would have to have been totally checked out with her surroundings, deeply, but it can & has happened that way. We don't know the state of mind she had during those times. Maybe he was a master gaslighter as well as a master manipulator. Every abuser is a master manipulator, especially to their child victim. I'd imagine the sick eff went as far as showing Maddy the videos or pictures he had of her to completely control her through sheer terror of being exposed. That right there fucks up every child victim. I've seen that first hand as a young child myself, sadly. I wish so badly now that I'd told someone, anyone, what I'd seen happen to my best friend in 5th grade, her perp absolutely would have been given a very, very long prison sentence.

That is why even innocent people should be careful when talking to police. You say you put groceries away, then fed the cat and then got the mail to one cop. The next day, you tell another cop you put the groceries away, then got the mail and then fed the cat. You have made inconsistent statements. Probably never an issue most of us will ever face, but lawyers have good reasons for warning people to shut up until they have legal representation.

@robinlynn1319 he isn't the brightess POS ...IMO. He and Jen colluded a story. I served for over 18+ years in Law Enforcement and as a Detective ( in Florida). Jen story is "locked in". She admitted under a sworn affidavit she had last seen Madeline getting dressed at or around 0800. POS was observed around 0735 dumping her pack and laptop in the dumpster. It is unbelievable she would permit her daughter to sleep in another bed, with a adult male. Her two news interviews were disturbing. She shows no empathy for Madeline. She can't remember the first lies told during her first media interview. She's not out actively looking for her daughter. She speaks of Madeline "in the past tense", before she was ever found. Her body language shows deception. There isn't tears running down her face. It's feigned emotion. She shakes during one interview, which shows she is definitely nervous, scared, if the truth comes out. A gofundme is set up for Madeline. It mysteriously is "paused" when it hits $16K. Jen Soto goes into hiding. And allegedly, she retains an attorney. Madeline's real father was notified. He and his wife drive 14hrs from Texas, only stopping for gas. He and his wife showed real emotion. Court documents show he was fighting to obtain custody of Madeline for years and Jen was fighting it every step of the way. I think we all know why. Jen knew POS was SA'ing her daughter. Served her up like a piece of meat " so she wouldn't be alone" ( without a man). Since POS been doing this to Madeline since she was 8 yrs old. He groomed her Mom permitted it. And usually these bastards just don't stop with one child. What happened when he wasn't living with Jen? Are there other victims? Or did he profit by selling the material? Jen right now, has to be scared s***less. It was also reported that the homicide occurred INSIDE the condo. One early report stated Madeline suffered from asphyxiation and blunt force trauma. I have a gut instinct. Madeline fought back. She was not protected in her home. Another disturbing incident with Jen....she didn't attend funeral services for Madeline, she wouldn't meet with Madeline's father to turn over her ashes to him. Why? Because Jen knew she couldn't look him in the eye and face him, knowing what POS and her did to Madeline. I also believe why the homicide occurred...Madeline was going to "spill the beans" what POS and Jen were doing inside the condo. I have a feeling she was going to go to either to her SRO ( school resource Officer) or someone in a position of authority and report what was going on. POS and Jen panicked. There possibly was an argument after Madeline returned home after her birthday party. In a fit of rage and fear, they committed the homicide. They had to silence her. They both knew she could bring both of them down. I could only imagine all the forensic evidence which has been obtained ( besides the 1700 files ) of the material gathered from his phone, his car, her car, and the condo. I hope a day of reckoning will be soon. That poor child suffered for so many years. She wasn't protected by her mother. The truth will definitely come out. I pray for Madeline and hope she obtains justice. She needs to be at peace, where the monsters will no longer hurt her.

Therapist here. Often, women (and men) who are abused as a child will ignore red flags in their partner because they weren't taught them as a child. It's safer to be with the enemy you know. Mom's statement that Stephan and Madeline often slept in the same bed makes me think that she really had no clue that this was inappropriate. I'd place money that mom was sexually abused as well growing up.

Therapist here, totally opposite view, people who are abused as children, see red flags before others, because they have been through it, they know the terror of it and that they DO NOT want their own children to go through it, it acts as a trigger thereafter, thereby causing them to be twice as protective and aware. In this case mom allowed that man access to her child due to underlying problems that we don't yet know, maybe even jealousy!!

I think she died tge night of her bday ! He took her home and tried forcing himself on her and she was brave enough to say NO ! She probably threatened him , she knows how wrong it is now and what a monster he is. I have little girls this age and i just have a feeling she finally had the nerve to say no and stand up for herself. I can't get passed Maddie not telling her mom that he did this when she was younger. We are moms , we are our kids safe place to land. We are home ! There is no way Jennifer didnt know about this. She was allowing him to groom this baby all this time.

She was too self absorbed in her own ‘mental health’ issues to the point she let her baby girl sleep with a fully grown man of no relation to her 🤢🤦🏼‍♀️ horrible excuse for a mother and she needs to be charged for neglect and endangering her child at the very least!

We have raised 3 children… all adults now. Husband and I NEVER allowed the children to sleep with us. Yes biological father and mother. Your bed is sacred… it’s clearly not just for sleeping… why do people think that’s ok? Let alone a boyfriend, step father ect. That’s just not ok… FOR ME!!!!

After a certain age, letting the kids share the bed should stop. Kids need to keep learning about proper boundaries and personal space as they grow up.

For my family, my kids know they can always come to us in the night. Our youngest has epilepsy, and if it wakes her, she will run to our bed to sleep next to us. Because it helps her feel safe. She is 7 years old. Our other 2 kids are 9 and 11. And if either one of them is having a hard time during the night, they also are welcome to come to us for comfort. But we are both the biological parents. It has just always been important to me to help my kids if something is bothering them. And to not withold that help just because it is night. But I grew up often sharing a sleeping space with other female family members, including my mom. Often done out of necessity due to housing situations.

I had my children when I was 14 and 15 years old so for a lot of their young years I wasn’t even an adult yet. How did I have the sense to not let my daughter sit on even my boyfriend‘s lap are women so freaking desperate that they will let these people abuse their children I do not understand, he’s not with you. He’s not in a relationship because he wants your child. That’s gross. It’s horrible. She needs to be persecuted, not prosecuted.
