It's not like covariance can't tell how strong variables are correlated, the thing is -- covariance can only give idea about linear relationship not nonlinear , just check this video once , you allll doubts in spearman will go away buddy , I have never seen such great visualization-- kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZybYYh-Za2DY80
