For some reason, even after you take control of Covenant you can only sleep in one bed, all of the others are still sleep owned. Even the new settlers that I later moved in wouldn't, or couldn't sleep in those beds. I actually had to create new beds for them because they were walking around at 3am, once I created the new beds they went straight for them.

One of my favorite new mods that just came out this year is Half Width Shack Walls by CitizenRandom. Comes with half width doors, walls, a quarter sized upper shack floor, and a quarter sized roof. And some other stuff. Materials are wood and metal. Makes designing smaller spaces so much easier.

Hey Ox. You know that with the place anywhere mod it lets you control the size of items also. Just highlight the item and use the 1 and 3 keys on the keypad to grow or shrink the item.

honestly you added some big, daft box cars for no reasons, the settlement already looks bloody pre-war and if you just put turrets around the settlement walls on the platforms, its a beautiful, pre-war, self defending settlement, that is a lovely place to take a break from combat, or for settlers to live!

Defending the settlement is great, since there's only one entrance. I would usually put turrets on the platforms around the settlement to soften targets up and concentrate all fire at the front, usually with a heavy turret inside the settlement pointing at the gate. Otherwise this settlement is a bit difficult to build with, since it's really small, similar to Hanged Man's Alley. The only real option is to build vertically on different platforms, going higher and higher. You need the ground "floor" for crops and the existing buildings are limited in space.

You know, you can actually get that settlement without killing anyone except for Dan and the girl, if you succede enough Charisma checks. They will get you to the doctor in the coumpound and if you side with her, they accept to join the minutemen.

A little tip for anyone rewatching this, if you stealth kill the people the others will not be hostile so if you kill the doctor the rest will be friendly but if you want to use it as a settlement you gotta kill them all or team up with them then stealth kill some or all

If it were me, I'd have built vertically. Maybe scrapped some homes for a home of my own design, or built higher boxcar homes. Every save game I start I ALWAYS make a Fort Sanctuary, I build walls all around Sanctuary and replace some homes with homes of my own design, and I even replace all street lights with working street lights.

Set FO4 to only update when starting the game. It will only update when you use Steam to launch it. Workaround for the lack of an option to update when you want since you use the F4SE launcher.

Great build again Ox..I was watching the stream and while you were decorating I wanted to ask you a question.I have gone over the build limit and just have a little more decorating left. Do items stored in containers around the settlement and items in the workshop (i.e.weapons,armor and junk count against the size bar??? I really wanna finish before I upload to youtube but it keeps crashing. BTW,I'm on PS4..Done the glitch to reduce size bar to many times and have no mods..Thanks!!¿

Yes, if you build it using a settlement;s workbench, the items will count for that settlement's population size.

To negate the effects of the size bar, you can drop a bunch of weapons on the floor, and then store them in our workbench. Don't scrap them though, that doesn't do anything.

I can see the reasoning behind it though. Gardening is really the only job in a settlement that a kid could do that is at least relatively safe. I do think, though, that a great mod idea would be to do a small quest for Deezer and then you get the ability to create a child's lemonade stand at any settlement, where a kid can be assigned to it to sell Deezer's drink.

with the turrets if you snipe the original people of covenant and draw them out of the town you can kill them without attacking the turrets, and then just walk into the town and the turrets dont attack and you can access the workshop and scrap them and that opens up the platforms with no console commands

you don't have to murder all the covenant settlers to death to get the settlement after getting honest dan's quest jacob orden will run to the gate talk to him and pass his speech check to allow you access to their secret compound accept doctor chamber's offer and then go back and talk to jacob orden and you get the settlement under minutemen control
