My take on this. FL absolutely MUST make this work or he will struggle to have a future in the game, so I believe he will be as keen as all of us to MAKE it work. If Lampard takes us forward and gives his all for the club, I couldn't care less about his past or what he is or isn't. Clean slate for some, hoping Ephron gets more minutes as he's looked class of late. Also that Tavares and Andrews get their chance. Lampard should stay at Cov for a few years this is a good club to him. Its near the Cotswolds and London where his family are from, Cov could get a lot of fans from MK, Northants and Warwickshire too as its too far to St Andrews or Villa Park. If Lampard does his part theres no reason why Cov couldnt become like a Fulham or Southampton back in the early 2010s football team. Astute move from Lampard, for not going to a club thats too far from him as well as Cov too far for trying to get a bigger name too

His first spell at Chelsea culminated in record spending to achieve fourth spot, which most managers would expect given the spending.
