This song is the fastest song DAY6 Young K wrote; it's also the song he considers the most personal. He said he wrote the lyrics during a taxi ride home, when he was feeling inadequate as a musician and thought that he didn't have what it takes to last long as one. I love this song very dearly because it just tugs at my heartstrings. He didn't only sing it very well but I really love how intentional he sings it. I'm new to SEVENTEEN, but I've mpstly known Hoshi as a their ace dancer. I love that I found this cover not only because I realized how good his vocals are, but to be honest I've been having depressive episodes lately, and hearing Hoshi sing this the way he did allowed me to feel vulnerable with myself again. 7 years ago I fell absolutely in love with hoshi's vocal colour, and ever since then he has always been one of my favourite singers. Despite being well known as a dancer (as he should), I'd love for people to discover how much of a talented singer he is as well. He sang so wholeheartedly, so raw with emotion in this cover, which we don't get to see much in their discography. It's only my first listen atm, but I honestly love it. Thank you hoshi for this beautiful cover, and I know you had as much fun singing this amazing song too ❤
