Hi Amy! I tried this and I really like it. TY. So you don’t use IT SPF 50 foundation anymore? ( I love IT since I watched you recommend it) What products do you use to remove this at night? My Cereve cleanser is not working so well. How do reapply sunscreen throughout the day on top of this? Powder sunscreen? And then touch up lightly with this concealer throughout the day? I notice that the melasma appears through in a few hours.
@investinyourface3 жыл бұрын
@@nm-xu2ik I am a big fan of the It Cosmetics CC+Cream with SPF 50! It remains my go-to foundation. I use either, or, and sometimes both. Double cleansing at night with an oil cleanser then water based cleanser like CeraVe works well to remove the sunscreen, make up, and other build-up. And yes, touch ups as needed with concealer. Powder sunscreen for touch up is OK, if an adequate amount is applied. I prefer cream or lotion.

Hey Amy, It's me again. I just wanted to share my positive experience with you on the prescription I am using for my melasma. It's called Skin Medicinals. So far I have used it for just using for almost 3 weeks but not every night and I can tell it's making a huge difference. I wear my sunscreen and keep my face covered with face mask. I use long brim sun visor as well. Keeping my fingers crossed because summ is coming 😬

Thank you for the video showing your melasma. It never looks like you have melasma and appreciate your being brave to show it. Right now I am using “tarte shape tape” 44H Tan and it is a good concealer for me. I like that it comes in a small size that I keep in my purse for touch ups. I’m always looking for a good concealer so I will try the one you mentioned. Can’t wait for fall temperatures here in NM.

Thank you! I have read about red light therapy for melasma, but I do not have any experience to share. It sounds promising for those who have not had any success with topical treatments. I would strongly recommend consulting with a dermatology provider before using any at-home device.

I had not heard of Jennifer Bradley, but I just took a quick look at their website. It looks like a good product. Have you tried it? Their recommended color match by a color expert is a good idea before spending $53. The Shiseido Coverspot is less than half the price and I know it works well 😊

My melasma covers almost my entire face. I often try to match the darkness & only apply foundation to the parts of my face that are not affected by it. But no matter what…my hyperpigmentation color is too grey/ashy ti get a good match. Do u have a recommendation of what I can do to get it right???
@investinyourface3 жыл бұрын
@@sides1974 To help conceal the grey/ashy color, have you tried an orange color correcting concealer? Apply it to the dark areas, let it set, then cover all over with a full coverage foundation that matches your skin tone. There are some drugstore brands like NYX that have color correcting products that are budget friendly. You may find that it takes some trial of products and practice. It may seem strange to cover with orange, but that hue works well for dark areas like dark under eye circles and greyish areas that are common with melasma. Hope this helps.

Hey Amy, it's me again. Do you any video for melasma cover up with miminum makeup for outdoor (daytime). I hate to wear layers of makeup.
@investinyourface2 жыл бұрын
No video specifically for that. But I agree, I do not like heavy makeup layers when I am outdoors. I prefer to wear a good water resistant tinted sunscreen and reapply every couple of hours. For additional concealing and touchups, this Shiseido Spotscover works well over the sunscreen. A little goes a long way which allows me to avoid the layered makeup look and feel. Hope this helps.

My melasma peeks through the makeup by midday. I have rings around my cheeks with melasma ( it doesn't cover my entire cheek area). What the hell 🙄
@investinyourface2 жыл бұрын
Finding the right concealer/foundation can involve a lot of trials. Concealing melasma can be a challenge for sure. For me, any makeup product usually needs to be touched up during the day after sunscreen reapplication. When my melasma is well managed, sometimes a tinted sunscreen minimizes the makeup touch ups.

@@investinyourface hey Amy, what sunblock are you using these days? I was given a suggestion to look into LA Roche posay Uvmune 400. I am going to start using HQ + tretinoin + steroids treatment soon. I am looking into something heavy duty with or without white cast. Unfortunately because of my job, I can't avoid going under the sun during the peak hours but I do wear a long brim hat and try to keep myself in the shade, if possible.
