Hell yes Doom Foretold! Always happy to see that card. I've been playing Vraska Doom/Dance for a while just out of being too stubborn to give up my favorite archetype, even when it really sucked. But I've noticed lately that it's getting better and better. The meta (at least from my limited perspective) seems to be going a lot taller than wider lately, with hexproof Mutate stacks, Dream Trawlers, and high-CMC walkers, and Doom Foretold just tears those decks UP. It also does decently well against white lifegain and the various weenie flyers decks, and it even has some game against monored if the draw is right.

For audio I would maybe put mic slightly closer but more to the side. More low end would be nice and slightly less sharp s/ts, you get that facing the mic. Different mic = different position they all work very differently. Also I think you need some fiber/cloth/shelf or something on the wall either infront or behind or both that would make audio lots better to :) As for your voice and picture I really enjoy watching and hearing you, to me its very chill, meditative, someone talking and reacting to something you share interest in.

I wonder if you could fit the plaguecrafter/broodmoth combo in this deck. Cast plaguecrafter with broodmoth onboard, you get two triggers (which can force discard if the enemy has no creatures.)

personally I agree with both of you. Harry makes a good albeit not too eloquent point. ideally arena's algorithm would punish or hobble ranked builds in unranked play. I really enjoyed awhile back when arena ran with temporary banned and restricted format to see what they could divine from tweaking the meta. I certainly wouldn't mind more of that. fun build. thanks for not squeezing in teferi. it's ok to take a break from it.

CGB, just found your channel recently and I'm diggin your vids. Some audio suggestions: the closer you can get the mic to your mouth, the less you'll get that sort of echo / room noise. Also, it sounds like you're recording the game-sound that's coming out of your speakers. if that's the case, I'd suggest wearing ear-buds and let your recording software grab the audio right off the PC. I know MtG doesn't need high-def audio, and it's mostly your commentary that matters, but recording the game sounds right off the system, then mixing them down might net a better result. that's all, keep up the good work!

Funny Interaction with Doom Foretold, if you use Mythos of Illuna on Doom Foretold and uptap on your side with only the original doom foretold and the token doom on the board, the token doom trigger goes off first making you sacrifice the non-token doom while the non-token trigger stays on the stack and since the non-token doom can't sac the Illuna Doom it makes you lose 2 life, gain 2 life, discard a card and draw a card and make a 2/2 token. Since the Illuna token sacrificed the non-token doom it stays on the board for the next turn and if the opponent can sac a permanent and you didn't play one last turn when it comes around it procs again, with you losing two life, gaining two life discarding a card and drawing a card and making a 2/2, this time the token will sac itself on the trigger. Not sure how useful an interaction it is but I thought it was funny since I keeps doom around for another circle.

So after listening to the postgame, I'm curious. Is anyone else unhappy with the 'focus-on-wins' reward structure we have in Arena? I really like the quests that say 'play X cards of a color' / 'play X lands'. Even 'attack with x creatures' isn't bad. But the fact that daily rewards are for wins, as opposed to cards played, really incentivizes people to play a) the decks with the highest winrate and b) the fastest decks possible. Is anyone else bothered by this? It seems like such a simple change to make to really reduce the cutthroat nature of Arena.

CGB should revisit this deck with Lithoform Engine added. Double the doom fortold triggers, double the fun. Also double the Elspeth triggers, glass casket triggers, ect...just 2 mana.

Yeah, regarding the patron’s comment, I play Cycling Bo1 in ranked mythic not because I think it’s the best deck but because I’m a FTP player and that’s the best I can do for a competitive deck lol. It is frustrating to play against competitive decks in unranked, especially when I’m playing some sort of janky mutate deck so I definitely get it.
