WOTC heard the player base complaining about how many mythic wildcards we all had compared to rare wildcards, and now we get to spend all of those on Big Score cards

@forbidden.4045 ай бұрын
@@ender4101 they are not as easy to come by compared to commons and uncommons obviously, but most formats end up requiring more rares than mythics, so more likely than not you are running low on rares wcs

I guess in brawl we prefer mythics (very greedy curve with an affinity for big spells, planeswalkers, expansive cards, a lot of mythic stuff in fact), but yes in all x4 exemplar formats it's more useful to have rares, especially for the mana base (triomes, ravlands, fetchlands etc... all rares and x4)
@FluffySpikeM5 ай бұрын
@@forbidden.404 That's only true if you start playing Arena from scratch (i.e. no collection). If you've played for a while, rares become way less of a problem. Mythics stay a problem even if you keep up with the game - unless you seriously whale up.

I completed my play set of OTJ and all the Big Score cards after a couple of weeks. Yes, Collector’s Cage is very good. It is good to copy, good to double the triggers, all of the above. One of the strongest uses I have found for it is with Brawlers, Fight Rigging, Ornery Tumblewagg, Yarus, All Will Be One, and Siege Veteran. I will say that Omenpath Journey is a good card but have never needed more than 2 in any deck I have used them in. Territory Forge is one of those secretly good Big Score cards. Hint: Meticulous Excavation and Hulking Metamorph.

The Best in Best of One could actually be one of the most patient gamers around. Years of UW control have created a real monster. That last match would have killed my will to live but the power of an untouched Mirrex over 40 turns is amazing if one just waits.

The times I've seen Collector's Cage pop-off, it usually involves Nurturing Pixie to re-trigger and big hits like Moonshaker Cavalry
@chriswampler15 ай бұрын
lol! Keep the Moonshaker under it for that secret threat for the win. Wait to pay the one until you drop one onto the field from your hand. Selesnya is a great home for the Cage along with Fight Rigging.

This deck tops out at four-drops (okay, also Vanquish the Horde, but that's cheaper when you want to cast it), so it doesn't seem the best way to highlight Hideaway, which really wants to cheat out some haymakers. At least might be worth replacing the Spirited Companion with Combat Thresher. The double-strike plays well with the extra counters, and you can possibly cheat out the large version.) And maybe adding a big Wanderer or two?
