Ninja Nerds!
During this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be discussing COVID-19 vaccines including Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, and Astrazeneca/Oxford.
We are NOT sponsored and/or endorsed by Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, or Astrazeneca. We are presenting on RESEARCH and in no way is any of the information provided our own view or opinions.
This will be a lecture packed with the process vaccine developers must go through; which includes a preclinical phase and phases I-III. Including information about OPERATION WARP SPEED and how this has expedited the normally lengthy vaccine process.
We will then discuss how Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, and Astrazeneca vaccines work in the human body, preventing the SARS-CoV-2 virus and hopefully, ending this global pandemic.
Finally-- Zach presents on all of the most current data that each of the vaccine companies have released outlining the vaccine procedure and how it will be administered, the vaccine efficacy (as a percentage), optimal storage temperature of the vaccine in order to remain viable, and the number of vaccine units these companies are capable of producing. We hope you enjoy this lecture and be sure to support us below!
IMPORTANT INFO (MUST READ):
One thing to emphasize that wasn’t harped on enough from this lecture is when these vaccines lead to an immunogenic reaction as we described above, which leads to formation of Memory B cells and Memory T cells. This is important because if we are exposed to the virus those memory cells are now primed and able to recognize and mount a powerful immune response against the virus.
LASTLY, one additional point and clarification is when those cytotoxic T cells produce destructive molecules that damage host cells it’s important to realize that those are memory cytotoxic T cells primed by the Vaccine that damage host cells that ARE INFECTED with the SARS-COV-2 virus, NOT CELLS processing the vaccine.
Big Takeaway:
1. Vaccine stimulates antibody production to protect against virus IF INFECTED.
2. Vaccine stimulates development of memory T and B cells to protect against virus IF INFECTED.

Update: Check out the update video regarding the Delta variant! kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6m3goR6YraJoM0 Hi Ninja Nerds! Because this is such a sensitive topic to a lot of viewers we need to make sure everyone is able to read this important disclaimer! -- We are NOT sponsored and/or endorsed by Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech, or Astrazeneca. We are not suggesting that this company data is the end all be all and that you should receive any of these vaccines. More studies need to be done for sure! We are simply presenting on the RESEARCH performed by these companies so that you may be educated about what we CURRENTLY know about these vaccines and in no way is any of the information provided our own view or opinions. Also for additional information regarding the memory T cells and B cells response to vaccine look in the description box. Thanks everyone

Hey Ninja Nerds, wanted to clarify an additional point in the video for you Immunology Nerds!!! Cytotoxic T cells don’t Directly stimulate B cells to become plasma cells and make antibodies, it's indirectly through those cytokines. Cytotoxic T cells cytokines like IFN's stimulate macrophages increasing expression of MHC II complexes which activate T helper cells which stimulate B cells to turn into Plasma cells and make more antibodies.Wanted to make sure it’s clear how Cytotoxic T cells are indirectly involved in antibody production, even though it's primarily the T helper cells that stimulate B cells to make antibodies.

@@SwissTravelChannel mRNA is broken down quickly, so errors in a few mRNA molecules aren't really that bad. That's why the enzyme that makes mRNA (RNA polymerase) doesn't even have a good proof reading function, if any at all. The polymerase is like "let's make some more RNA as quickly as possible, so who needs proofreading? If something goes wrong, it doesn't matter anyway." The problem is if mRNA is continuously produced wrongly because a part of the DNA is damaged. That's why the enzymes that replicate DNA for cell division (DNA polymerases) have really good proofreading functions. And there are also enzymes that fix damaged DNA. But sometimes, an error can still happen, especially due to damaging environmental influences. And yes, damaged DNA can cause cancer.

@Sam Yaza but that's only the case in the US and countries where healthcare is operated on a profit making basis. In the UK our NHS only treats appropriately rather than pushing people to have tests they don't really need (which I know happens in the states due to people who have worked there or lived there coming over here and seeing the difference in the NHS approach). The NHS also provides the most advanced treatments - such as ECMO - to people who are on benefits free. All human life is valuable. If you have a non-profit health-care system, this focusses on truly caring for people's needs and making appropriate decisions which may lead to older people not being subjected to tortuous intensive care treatment beyond a certain level if they develop multiorgan failure. I would love to see the US radically transform their tragically unfair healthcare strategy.

20:17 - do you have a reference for the statement that cells expressing spike from vaccine MRNA do not get taken out by the immune system? I've seen some slides presented by Dr. Sucharit Bhakdi which appear to show tissue destruction in capillaries where spike was expressed. Been a while since this video, I'd be curious to hear an honest update, as well as discussion of the pathologies we've come to see as a result of the vaccine. Interesting that you also note in the beginning that the spike is the most pathogenic part of the virus. I was a big fan of your channel when in a BSN program in Canada, but had to leave school and a career in nursing after refusing these experimental jabs. Honestly, very glad I did so. Also curious to hear your comments on the recent preprint studies re myocarditis from Thailand and University of Basel, Switzerland. They indicate that about 3% of recipients experience troponin elevation. Cheers.

I tried to find how mRNA vaccines work from the UK National Health Service website (since there's a blue banner directing you there on many YT videos discussing covid), but failed to find anything helpful (maybe just chose bad search keywords). I sent a request for where to find this information but was told that '...the issue you have raised does not relate to the website'.

To challenge that line of thinking you very likely be accused of promoting sorcery. My daughter most likely was harmed by aluminum adjuvants. You can find this info elsewhere. This guy is not the only one out there. You have to look at all the info and then summarise it. There are scientists (immunologists) who say this virus is fake, that they have rebranded the common cold and flu as covid. They have had 1500 samples of the cases but could not find the virus. They even cross-checked with universities in California who requested a sample of the virus for studies, but the CDC said they don't have any samples. Now they are suing the CDC.

I have watched the whole video and will still not be taking the vaccine - for now. I intend to wait a few years and see how it goes with the people who have taken it. I am totally pro vaccine, however when it comes to SARS-Cov-2, the risk/benefit ratio does not warrant taking a vaccine that has received rushed emergency approval. Especially considering that in the many years of trials, no mRNA vaccines has ever before made to the market for humans. Thst is has received approval in the midst of a crisis, gives rise to legit concerns. I am not against mRNA vaccines in general, if they prove save and effective after long-term studies. Just beause our governments are too incompetent to have developed plans over a 9-months period on how to effectively protect and treat old and sick people and continue to keep everyone in lock-downs, I will not risk my health for what is basically an experiment on a global scale.

Layan Naser: That is the most arrogant statement to make. "The people who need to see this will never see it." Presumably you mean people who are not as clever as you? You mean people who might wonder about a vaccine that is so safe you have to be shamed into taking it, because it is for the good of society as a whole, "it's not about yourself, but to protect other people," for whom the vaccine presumably does not work, and for a disease so deadly you have to be tested to know if you have it . The lipid covering is basically a lipid bilayer like the cell membrane is for all cells. So it would fuse. Its not the same as a lipid molecule going through like ethanol or nicotine. Then the mRNA gets deposited in say an endothelial cell. Can't leave the cell afterwards. And because it is only one specific message (recipe to make spike protein) then nothing more will happen.

@@sandrameesala6804 ok thanks for that clarification! Also since the coronavirus is highly morphable and is currently bypassing the vaxt’s ADE based immunity resulting in the stronger variants and has animal reservoirs, then why aren’t we focusing our treatment at the S1 or S2 receptors so that it doesn’t morph past it’s “strongest link” ?

the shot only recognises one protein (the spike) out of many proteins which comprise the original wuhan covid-19. the external viral protein mutates (is forced to mutate in the environment of mass vaccination) and the immune system then has nothing it recognises. Also, it is BASIC SCIENCE to NOT vaccinate populations during a pandemic.

Excellent video and very informative ,just two things that puzzled me, Why do the cytotoxic T- cells not destroy the host cell processing the vaccine at that time and not in the future, also the MHC-11 protein only found on B cells, macrophages and dendritic cells are these part of the process within the vaccinated cell?
@umbra9029
@umbra9029 8 ай бұрын
I guess I'm late to the party, but since you asked: first question - the cytotoxic T cells are activated by the host cells that's producing the vaccine. The reason why they don't kill the host is because they don't code for the entire virus, so they're not recognised as an infected cell. It only contains a very small bit of information that's the spike protein, which will teach the host that spike protein is a threat and he will be able to recognise it in the future. Second question: u mean the MCH-II, they are part of the process of vaccination, but obviously not within the "vaccinated cell", they present the antigens to helper t cells, which will then coordinate the immune response to a more specific one by activating b cells and the cytotoxic t cells. Hope it made sense.
