@@PatrickDelorenzi I’m 6 months into recovery. It’s strange I will feel 90-100% for 2-3 weeks then have a relapse where I feel like I’m 60-80% for 2-3 weeks. Been a rollercoaster. What kind of meds did they have you on? I’m on colchicine still

Did you exercise/ do walks during your 30 day pericarditis recovery? And how soon after initial diagnosis were you back to exercising?

I'm 53 got covid in February and still have pericarditis/myocarditis. Pain still there. Taking 8 pills, blood thinners, etc...I'm scared it might never go away. 😢

Hi Patrick, I am currently suffering with heart symptoms, but not from COVID itself, from the vaccine. I have not been formally diagnosed with myocarditis or pericarditis yet, awaiting MRI. Could you tell me how you were diagnosed, did you have elevated troponin, what were you ECG and echocardiogram like? Did you have MRI? This is truly worrying for me as I, like yourself am a cyclist.

Hey there, sorry I did not reply earlier. I was diagnosed via echocardiogram which showed a hyper reflective posterior pericardium, troponin levels where normal - it was mild. Right now I just got the jab yesterday and unfortunately I am experiencing some of the same symptoms, but my heart doctor said it should be just transitory. Yes I was prescribed ibuprofen 2x a day and colchicine. I rested for a full month, and then got a check up echo Which was completely fine! Hope you heal quick, if you can get an echocardiogram to understand what you are dealing with

@@PatrickDelorenzi thanks for replying. My echo was normal and troponin normal but lateral wall ischaemia on ECG. I haven’t been prescribed any medication as there has not been a formal diagnosis. I’m currently resting and taking ibuprofen 1200mg per day. What jab did you have? Mine was Moderna, didn’t realise before but Moderna has higher dose than Pfizer, 100mg compared to 30mg. I would recommend avoiding Moderna based on my experience. I previously had Pfizer with no side effects.

Pfizer, but tbh I hope it’s nothing and just the body fighting off the stimulus from the jab. I think if the echo is normal there should be nothing to worry about, as in maybe you feel some pain but it’s nothing major. Echo would of shown myo or pericarditis imho. That being said, let me know what the MRI says! Both Covid and the vaccine are weird things and everybody reacts differently

@@PatrickDelorenzi I appreciate you taking time to reply, my main symptoms are elevated hr when doing anything physical, such as climbing stairs, and forceful heart beat, did you have these symptoms? Not really pain, slight discomfort. It’s been 3 weeks since the jab.

Just came across this video. I'm glad you are recovered and mainly back to your normal lifestyle! As someone who who was diagnosed with Myopericaridtis almost 4 months ago from the vaccine, I was wondering what did you do in those 30 days of rest? What was your diet? Did you watch or sodium intake? I'm a 20 yo Male and have never dealt with something so hard in my life. I've tried many different things but the pain has still not subsided. Your feedback would be much appreciated ! Thanks

Hey man, first off im sorry to hear you have this problem. It sucks and I feel you man. During the 30 days of rest I ate a normal whole foods plant based diet, focusing on anti inflammatory easy to digest foods, like fruit and whole grains. I made sure I got as much full body sunshine as I could, tried to stay as much as possible in nature, and I slept AS MUCH as I physically could. Good quality deep and long sleep I think is the number one way to ramp up healing and recovery. I kept my heart rate under 110 for the whole month and took the meds my doc told me. Have faith it will heal 🤙
