Etiquette was taught in school when I was a boy, Cowboy Dan! I still tip my cap to ladies on the street. You're right, it's about being respectful to others. Men do this not because we think women are inferior. Someone said it's because we honor them for bearing life. Best of luck in the New Year to you and family!

Thank you kindly. It bothers me when guys pray or even sit in church with their hat on, but then I still believe in I Cor. 11. Also, I was raised you never sit down to eat with your hat on, no matter where you are, you never lay a hat on a bed, you do not touch someone's hat, and when you take your hat off and there's only a shelf to put it on, you put it crown down never crown up.
