This whole album still sounds as gorgeous and timeless as ever. I don't know how many times I've listened to it.

I bought The Trinity Sessions second hand in the spring of 1994 at age 20. It wasn’t my cup of tea at the time but in a totally rare moment of functional forethought, I reasoned I may come to like it one day. By the early 2000’s that CD lived in my car, frequently playing in November and December, seemingly at home in a time of lengthening darkness and quiet contemplation.

My late former colleague, David, loved the Cowboy Junkies. He passed away suddenly at the age of 50 on May 17th. Wishing you Godspeed into the next world, buddy. You are missed more than you know. Rest in Power.

The Cowboy Junkies are a band that plays the kind of music that is a salve for deep painful wounds. One of my all time favorite bands.

maybe this is completely obvious, but after reading the lyrics to this song i interpreted it as the story of margo going on (a) tour and leaving her love behind, as shes compelled to chase her dream, regardless of how profound it may seem to her significant other. its beautiful simplicity, a beautiful song.

Brilliant song, but Margo, my dear Margo...it's not "ash-fault." I had to look up the lyrics printed. The spell would have been better with "ass-fault." I was genuinely puzzled. For what it's worth, this is the last, and only complaint I've ever had about your creative choices. And yes, I am aware Canada and the USA are different.
