no, free cancel lets you do a move as soon as your enemy is actionable again, i.e. you free cancel implade while you have a 5 frame advantage. your opponent wasnt actionable is those 5 frames but your implade wouldnt have hit, so a free cancel lets you change your move mid attack

@@capt.dremillion It's also worth mentioning with free cancel; both uses of it it recharged whenever one of the players gets hit by a melee attack. Basically, spam that stuff when you want to. It lets you get so much more aggressive.

You know, over time, I've come to both love and hate how fast the replays are. I don't mind it, not really, it's a big part of the game's charm in my eyes. ... The drama kid in me though? The part that wants those critical blocks, dodges, bursts and what not to be given extra dramatic impact? That part of me screams for a freeze frame, big sound effect, or music change i dunno. Kinda like the new Street Fighter. You get those big hits off and it actually FEELS like a big hit because of how it's presented. I have a similar complaint with the supers in the game, especially since mods have proven that you CAN make them more dramatic with little cinematics, but frankly that's more of a nitpick on my end than anything else. Hell, everything I'm saying is a nitpick. I still love the game, but there's just that little part of me that's always gonna be like "this could be made so much more dramatic than it already is, therefore it must be". Projecting my own ambitious attitude onto a game I don't even have a hand in making is an unhealthy outlook to have on a game though. On ANY project, really.

It's alright bro I was the same. Just know Yomi Hustle is a turn based fighting game. Each frame of the fight is a turn u have to think and predict what actions ur opponent is going to make. That's why u see your moves and your opponents moves.
