Thanks so much for this. Today, 11/19/2021, my students asked for a mental health day. I teach 12th grade and to say that our reentry into school and society has been challenging fails to capture our collective and individual traumas. I thought about their request for a hot nanosecond, ditched my planned lesson and activities, and said, "Okay, let's have a reading day." I asked if folks would mind if I put on some music. The other day I happened upon your mix, and thought that they might find it soothing and fitting to their needs. I put this on my smartboard in my classroom and we spent the hour reading Freud's Civilization and its Discontents. They thanked me and loved your mix. Also: A few students had not seen Cowboy Bebop. I teach in Newark, NJ. I was honored to be the one to introduce them to the show; a few lives were changed for the better today.

@@frankie3351 I can remember my childhood, and time in the Army, and about four months after I got out of the service, in 2003. Everything between that and around January 2, 2022 is gone. Don't remember meeting my wife, who is the person who filled me in on what happened. Apparently it has happened several times over the past year. In Oct 2020, it was bad enough that I had to stop teaching, I wasn't remembering more than a day at a time. After I got the vaccine, I started being able to remember more, but only from that point, not before. And it has crashed several times, leaving me back at waking up confused and having to learn the stuff again. I mean, I'm not dead, so I still am better off than a lot of folks who caught it. But it's hard to deal with.

nujabes, fatjon and all of cowboy bebop and samurai champloo have a huge action on that. They were visionary, and at the same time genius of music. No other anime i have watched put me in a mood like i appreciate THAT much of instrumentals, vibing and all of that i can't explain in such a way that OST of those animes. 2 years listening and re-listening to all of it. I was working one of the worst jobs I've had in my life and I'd put that playlist on everyday.
