The TV world has a lot of great, wholesome and genuine people. We've got Mr. Rogers for teaching us compassion, Bob Ross for teaching us art, Steve Irwin for teaching us to love animals, and Kent Rollins, for teaching us to love cooking,. Thanks for our weekly dose of fun, fellowship and food!

Kent, I am not having success finding the video you did where you asked the question about the rooster laying the egg on the roof of the chicken coup and which side it would roll off of, but, I am always trading grins and giggles with my local UPS driver. Today, He was a bit consumed and stressed by the political events of the moment. After we both vented and he turned to return to his truck, I called him back and asked him about which side the egg would roll from. I totally blind sided him, since roosters don’t lay eggs. He gave me that hand finger/trigger gunshot, snickering all the way back to his truck! Thank you for your tidbits of humor! We need more!

On the Good Eats hashbrown episode, Alton Brown used a pair of needle nose pliers (you could use a small screwdriver instead, anything you stick in the hole and stretch it out a bit) to open up the holes on the grater so that you'd get thicker pieces similar to diner hashbrowns. I think that was a HUGE improvement. it takes some work widening each hole, but you only have to do it once and you get awesome diner style hashbrowns every time from then on. Totally worth it. Edit I would say you need to keep one the normal way for cheese and whatnot.
