@drew051313 күн бұрын
Colin is a joke. I really like Jayden Daniels, but to say he's a combination of Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson--that's ridiculous. Colin's comps are utter nonsense. He soups these young QBs up so high in their first seasons so that when they struggle in their second season (which is more than understandable), Colin sits back and rips them to shreds. It takes good young QBs a season to learn how to adjust how those teams adjust to them. Colin just doesn't understand that.

The cowboys are a top 10 drafting team in the league maybe top 5. Colin mentions our last 2 first round picks but what about the previous 3? Ceedee Micah and Tyler Smith, all 3 first team all pro players. Also in that time frame - Diggs, Biadasz, Odighizuwa, Daron Bland, Sam Williams. And Overshown, Beebe, Kneeland, Carson have shown flashes of being good starters from the last 2 classes. And obviously Guyton could still grow into a great player. Our problem is free agency not the draft

The Cowboys coach and players in this scenario is irrelevant bc of the owner until that changes nothing else will otherwise it’s basically milking a dead cow

They are not in trouble. This team has the 7th best record since 2016. We will see.

Crabman is not Mahomes+Lamar.

I love the fact, and you say it here, that the Dallas Cowboys are, in terms of success on the field, right back where Jerreh Jones found them 36 years ago. He fired Tom Landry and he's no better all these years later

Speaking of QB's. Saints passed up LAMAR JACKSON in the draft to get a DE that didn't do much for us. They could have been set up perfectly for the post Brees era. Lamar, Kamara, and Taysom Hill in the same offense. WOW

Tomlinson is a defense guy, he needs to bring in an offensive coordinator and let that person own the offense. Pickens needs to go. Maybe the Steelers just need an offense-minded head coach and bring in a defensive coordinator. Either way, something has to change.

If I’m a coach I wouldn’t want to be stuck with Dak in that division.

The best thing the Cowboys can do I hire Deion Sanders as HC. That way they absolutely fail an utterly disastrous fashion.

I love Michael Irvin, but he’s missing Troy’s point. The HC job at Dallas is NOT coveted by the top tier coaches that matter. Those coaches can get a gig with whatever team they want. They don’t need to deal with an owner like Jerry just to get a gig. They have their pick of the litter. Being Jerry’s lackey is hardly a coveted position.

We beat Jaden Daniels with a back QB so stop it Colin

We need assistant coaches to jump ship and no one to want to interview for HC job. Maybe then Jerry will get the picture.

Every since Jerry fired Jimmy he's been the best thing about the Cowboys and my hated of them!

Funny how the word Coveted has raised so much response. By definition, yes every NFL HC job is coveted. However if you have multiple options, Dallas/Jets/Raiders are the bottom 3 desirable of the 32 teams. Ownership and how they operate is the common denominator. The bottom 3 teams are only attractive for restarts (McCarthy, Gruden) or upcoming coaches looking to start/change their career. Troy's statement reflected mostly on the Cowboys HC job comes with lots of baggage.
