As a cowboy fan one thing the commanders showed me last week against the 49ers is they are trying to play spoiler. As bad as they are it may be a gritty game especially in Washington. Starters who are healthy need to play.

Consider this past weekend with heavy favorites: the Commanders gave SF a fight for awhile before the Niners pulled away, the Bills held on to beat the Pats, and Philly lost to Arizona. The best scenario for Dallas is to rest the guys who are banged up and play the healthy guys.

As a lifelong Cowboy fan (40+ years) nothing would be more Dallas then being handed the division by Philly and then going to Washington and losing. Anyone who knows the NFC East knows that records mean nothing when going against a divisional opponent. A perfect example would be the Cowboys 1989 season where they went 1-15. Can you guess who the Cowboys beat for their only win that season? If you guessed Washington you would be correct.

this is an easy solution, try to build a lead that’s comfortable enough for them to sit their starters. at best they can hopefully let some of them sit in the 2nd half but if need be, sit them the 4th quarter. but if they need to keep them in all game then do THAT. a home game for us is a MUST. not only because of our record at home but being home for a playoff game is always a benefit no matter what

This shouldn’t be a question. You lock up the 2 seed with a win, that means they get to play at home against anyone except San Francisco who they’ll have trouble beating anyway. The Cowboys are way better at home, if they throw this game, and Philly beats the Giants, they then have to go on the road against a hot Bucs team, while having lost 3 of 4 to end the season and not playing well since the game against Philly. Dallas has to be careful, they struggle on the road and lost last year against the Commanders in Week 18 when they had a chance to win the division (they wouldn’t because Philly won but they had a chance going in).
