Some players are too addicted to the spotlight the Cowboys gives. Everyone wants to be a hero. Everyone wants to be a character. You can even see it when they finally win a game after a long losing streak. Everyone just wants to win to get back into the Hollywood nonsense. Someone put food in the bucket again this year and whoever it was had an uneventful game and didnt get to use it. You got players on social media before they take off their jockstrap in the lockeroom. In all my life I haven't seen a team so unfocused and on the moon. It's a massive problem that Jerry Jones cultivated in the culture of the team and nobody fixes that.

Nothing wrong with blocking the punt, that's what they are suppoto do if they can. The problem is don't try to recover, get away from the love ball, that's what they are taught and that was the failure

Horrible take. You wouldn't have blocked the punt? If a window opens to block the punt you absolutely block it. It is a no brainer. You can't predict a guy muffing the ball...just like you can't predict Turpin not fumbling or Cooper Rush throwing 3 straight incompletions. Really just an insane take....I am surprised you said that.

I agree with Fish. You don't know if there's going to be an opening before the snap. With 4th and 27, you tell the players to not get close to the punter. Don't risk giving them a cheap first down by something like this or a roughing the kicker. You have over 2 minutes, 3 timeouts, one of the best returners in the league. You get the ball and give it to your running back who is averaging over 7 yards a carry. Get in FG range and win the game.

@@davidgower5906 They clearly had a return on. Vigil's gap was empty and he took advantage of it. No defender is going to pull up if a wide open lane opens up to the punter....nor should they be expected to. The goal is to win the game....to do that, players are expected to make plays.

It’s a rule I think should be changed. Shouldn’t be able to muff a blocked punt. Also bengals should have had to pick up the first down imo. I think that play should still be cowboys ball..

It was a bad loss! Overshown’s injury. Losing a game that you should have won. Muffing a blocked punt. Not using Lance at least in RPO situations. Rush can’t throw a 20 yard pass. Etc. The one thing that has really worked is Jerry’s blow it up plan. Worked to perfection.
