Jerry Jones was busy yesterday talking to reporters about more potential moves by the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry said that re-signing Ezekiel Elliott after his release is not out of the question and could still happen. How Zeke regressed was just gonna be how it went. Given how he was our focal point of the offense, and how we actually played. U can say how Zeke would ran into contact slowed him down sure but the way the RBs were ran last year worked out really well. It’s prob just because of the money it’s “an issue” cuz they want him to keep bringing the big stats which is understandable. I want Zeke back lol the one two punch was great

I'm a diehard Cowboy and I don't believe Zeke is a lead back anymore but I do believe he still has a ton of value as a RB2. Zeke is a warrior and he is still more than capable of doing the dirty work. In a backup role I think he is guaranteed 500-700 yards rushing and 8-12 TD's. He is gonna convert short yardage situations 70% of the time. Once u factor in his pass blocking he is a perfect RB2. Again his RB1 days are over but Zeke could probably win the RB2 job on half the teams in the league.
