Sad to see them disparage Lenoir like this. He's not the problem. The issue in SF is a problem at the slot where the let Jimmie Ward walk as a FA and signed Isaiah Oliver to replace him. Oliver struggles, which forces SF to put Lenoir in the slot and play Ambry Thomas on the outside. Thomas has been ROASTED. So basically...they try to fix whatever issue they are having with Lenoir and then the other guy struggles. Niners need to trade for a real starting corner to let Lenoir play in the slot full time.

It's just a scheme thing more than anything else. The Niners run single high safety a lot. That puts tons of pressure on the outside corners. The tradeoff is that they often get to drop that 2nd safety into the box which allows them to play the run better and shut down the passing game in the middle of the field. It's a trade-off that San Francisco will gladly continue to make until somebody has enough success against them to make them re-think their strategy. So far, nobody has been able to punish them.

The most meaningful statistics that provide insight into a game are defense and turnovers. In rushing yards per attempt by their opponents, the Dallas defense is 26th, the 49ers 10th. SF is 8th in QB hurries, Dallas is 23rd. The 49ers don't turn the ball over. Dallas defense has feasted on poor QB play in three games this year, skewing their numbers. Purdy has thrown ZERO INT's despite leading the NFL in air yards per attempt and QB rating. Dak has one INT this year, but is 16th in air yards per attempt and 13th in QB rating. Who's the "game manager" now? Against the Cardinals, Dallas was run over and Dak was held to a pedestrian 78 QB rating. Brock Purdy was a near perfect 20/21 with a 134 QB rating. History and the Rivalry are playing in this game. The 49ers are clearly the more talented team. 49ers roll by double digits!

I tried to tell you about Brock Purdy last year during training camp and the regular season....Brock is the real deal...I told you he played for Iowa state for 4 years and I saw him play in the Rose Bowl......When I saw him play against the Dolphins and The Bucs I knew he had done his homework. I knew he had studied Kyle Shanahan's playbook and knew it like the back of his hand. That's why he is so cool, calm & collective in the pocket and the games. It's studying for a test , getting to the test and knowing the answers and Acing the test...That's Brock. He moves and plays like Tom Brady and Drew Brees. And you got to admit. Brock Purdy, and this comes form Fred Warner and Nick Bosa, practiced against them and that No.1 defense the past 13 weeks and they made him better because they said he started shredding them on defense. But hey no one listening to a person like me who has been a 49er fan since 1974. Hey......I ain't wrong about Brock Purdy. The 49ers and Brock Purdy are playing soooo rough, angry, and smart this season that they are shutting up people who doubted them. There are not going to be any close games this season.....every team they face are going to get blown out...on the road or at home!!!! Dak must look the defense off. A secondary defensive back watches the quarterbacks eyes. Dak look at another receiver before you get the snap. It ease’s the coverage. But Sak watches the designated receiver from hutto to presnap line up all the way to the throw. Ever try to understand why you get open receivers when you scramble?
