We had 3 timeouts and the bills had 2nd and 18. He didn’t use any timeouts until there was 2 seconds left which was mind boggling. Also, the killer B years, one of the most talented/explosive offenses in the last 20 years, from 2013-2018 and they badly underperformed. Tomlin is 3-8 since 2011 in the playoffs. 0-5 in his last 5 playoff games where the opposing team average points per game is over 41.5 points. My concern isn't what McCarthy is good at. My concern is his absolute refusal to adjust against what other teams were doing. You don't need to keep losing to the run to, as a good coach, make some line adjustments or focus practices on run stopping. McCarthy continually failed at things that a veteran coach should never fail at. One of the biggest reasons I was high on potentially getting Belichick is that he's the kind of coach who will not suffer foolishness. You're not going to miss assignments or fail at the fundamentals under a Belichick. Harbaugh would have also been a great coach for what he could do with Dak in terms of his experience and tempering Dak to be better under pressure. Dallas has massive talent and phenomenal team chemistry. They need to be hardened and coached at a level where they are better at ebbing and flowing with the game so they don't get caught with their pants down if plan A doesn't work.

Sweet vindication!! Jordan Love 72.4 passer rating tonight vs 49ers. And the whole “youngest roster in decades” talking point is nonsense. It’s a VERY good roster. Especially the offensive line, running backs, WR corps, and they have very good young tight ends. In other words, despite what so many people have loved to say all season, Jordan Love has a lot to work with. Kick return by Keisean Nixon gave Packers ball inside the 20. Resulted in TD. Packers have 7 point lead with the ball around midfield, 3rd and 11. Worst case, offense doesn’t convert, you punt the ball which likely pins 49ers inside their own 10-15 yard line. Maintain the field position advantage. Instead, Mr. MVP Jordan Love sails a dink n dunk short pass which is intercepted. Giving the 49ers the ball at midfield. Packers are pinned back at their own 10 yard line. An unbelievable play from Aaron Jones takes the ball to around 49ers 35 yd line. 49ers penalized five yards on first down, 1st and 5 inside 49ers 35. Packers RB makes a play, hurdling defender to pickup seven yards for a first down inside 49ers 30 yd line. Now it’s time to rely on Jordan Love, Mr. MVP. What happens? They gain one yard, and miss the FG. 49ers take a 3 pt lead with 1:07 left, Packers have all three timeouts remaining. Jordan Love’s time to shine. They start the drive strong. Pickup a first down in two plays. 52 seconds remains, Packers still have two timeouts. Again, not like they’re down 4 pts, a FG ties it. 1st and 10. Short pass to tight end is wide open, he has wide open field ahead of him. Jordan Love rolls the opposite way, and makes an inexcusable mistake. Nobody even appeared open. Game over. “Even great QB’s have bad games.” Yes, but that’s generally when the rest of the team has also been shutdown, struggled, and the QB must shoulder a major load. In tonight’s game, Jordan Love’s teammates delivered in spades. Greatly reducing what was asked of him. He didn’t have to do anything magical. He just needed to be good enough when his team needed him to be. He wasn’t. Everybody loved to say Brock Purdy has so much to work with, and they aren’t wrong. Yet as a whole, the Packers offensive line is better than the 49ers. 49ers interior OL has struggled at points during the season. Packers might have a Gronk caliber tight end, and an elite tight end combo. To go along with explosive skill players. Not as proven as 49ers, but still very good. Brock Purdy passes the eye test. He made some unbelievably clutch throws when his team needed it the most. And tbh, the person, who helped Brock Purdy the most in divisional playoff game vs Packers, was Jordan Love. Again, the “youngest roster/supporting cast in decades” doesn’t jive with reality. Jordan Love’s supporting cast played great. They did their job, and did it well. Jordan Love was the weak link. Can quote his overinflated stats all day long, doing nothing but further illuminating a lack of understanding as it relates to the game of football.

There is no guarantee that changing coaches will work.

McCarthy should be fired for Dak’s pre snap cadence. “Here we goooo!” That annoyed me the entire game

Pretty sure Dallas is in a flat spin. Prescott and McCarthy both lack ceiling

For once I actually agree with Orlovsky. Never thought this day would come.

No body knows more about laying eggs than Dan Orlovsky, the only 2 things it did in Detroit was take up a QB spot and money from the Lions to be able to get a better Quarter Back

Prescott had his best year as a QB and the team went 12-5 to win the division. Both he and McCarthy are in the final year of their contracts and Dak has a no trade, no franchise stipulation in his. This was the only move the Cowboys could make. It's pointless to bring in a new coach and start a new system in Dak's final year. I realize there are those that hate the Cowboys, but at least know what you're talking about.

They need to fire Jerry Jones!!

Obviously, you guys didn’t understand the injuries this team was dealing with. LB injuries, corner injuries, OL &RB injuries were directly responsible for the loss. Dallas faced a better team. Putee and simple

A routine total team collapse in the first round of the playoffs. A team that cannot stop the run. A team that is built to play from ahead. A team that doesn’t possess the mental grit to dig out of tough situations. A team that cannot win the games they are “supposed” to win. A team that plays their smallest in the biggest situations. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the Dallas Cowboys.

Let’s not forget this is the same guy who said Daniel Jones would be the most improved player in the NFL lol had him ranked higher than Trevor, Lawrence Purdy Prescott, and several other quarterbacks

It’s not almost 30 years of JUST the coaching, The Players, the Qb’s. It’s not everyone. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jerry is the one controlling all the plays, all the calls and all the training.
@KMSDerpitz9 ай бұрын
What's even worse is they're sticking with a Qb who's 2-5 in playoffs who has lost in some of the most embarassing ways in league history, seeming completely incompetent outside of the regular season.

Not sure why Dak gets a pass from fans. Dude literally put the Cowboys in a hole by himself.

If you keep changing head coaches, then you'll never have the coach that learned. That coach will always learn while you're losing and then benefit one of the other 31 teams with that experience. Pick the head coach that you think has the tools to learn and grow, then deal with the growing pains.

I think, towards the end of the vid, Dan's thinking "how did this go from me saying McCarthy should be fired to you hosing gameday?"

It''s hardly a given the Cowboys even make the playoffs next year. Injury bug could change everything.
