I've realized these past months how awful the editing has become, any long party game sometimes need cutting but the timestamps to which it is done is ridiculous. The latest Mario party video was unbearable to watch after seeing so many random unexplained stars popping on the leaderboards.

They're editing two different camera angles (sometimes three) that are all probably over an hour long. Same goes for the video game. It's fuckin hard to do. If they cut stuff out its for the benefit of the video

Same thing happened with one of the Super Mario Party videos they did too except it was much worse. Skipping stars that people got, coins, minigames, etc. It was awful. The editor doesn't seem to be doing a great job of picking out the more important parts of the game at least. At this point I'd rather have the gameplay unedited but still split into parts.

@@UndeadRyker This is pretty bad too tbh, it skips all their turns, not just james. For example we dont see how aleks dies etc. The turn total on the top right goes from 7 to 5 after the minigame.

I wish the editing made more sense in these party games. Why do they keep editing out the important stuff that’s happening? Like, James getting the first cup, I had to rewind to figure out what had happened and it was just straight edited out for no reason. Same thing happens in Mario party now, despite all previous Mario parties being multipart, full game videos. Is there any reason for this change? Cause it sucks.

On the Cow Chop subreddit Lindsey has given this response to the editing complaints (Source: www.reddit.com/r/CowChop/comments/a0xv25/pummel_party_grudge_match/): Apologies to anyone who felt "severely disappointed" by the edit of this obscure gameplay video. I didn't edit this video, but I did approve this video, based on the fact that I personally felt like the game still flowed well and all important events were kept in (minus one cup win, in the beginning) but literally everything else that happened in the other rounds was cut out due to time, and no events/nothing interesting happening. I don't see any points where they are referencing anything in the game that you don't see. When they are playing mini games and referencing "playing this one before" they had started a game that crashed that we couldn't use. On top of that, only ONE mini game was cut from this entire video. I know that the Mario Parties were a bit rougher, but we are making progress in that area. Training several new editors to match our ever-evolving style, and keep pace is a lot of work and takes time. In any case, appreciate the feedback, with or without the pitchfork.
