I play arms in WoW. Arms is currently the best dps spec for warriors as of patch 7.2.5 In Legion, Arms has seen some fairly significant changes to try and fill out the static rotation, and focusing even more on Colossus Smash. It has a strong single-target orientation, tied to small windows of high damage as frequently as possibly by trying to actively reset uses through Tactician. Do not mistake this for being a limitation however, due to the combination of Warbreaker and Bladestorm for burst AoE. Arms has received a significant number of changes, effectively overhauling the spec in many cases this patch. This includes the following: Significant changes to the layout and design of a lot of the Arms Talent tree. Two new legendary items added, The Great Storm's Eye in the Head slot, and Soul of the Battlelord in the Ring slot. The legendary gloves Archavon's Heavy Hand now reduces the Rage cost of Mortal Strike by 8, rather than refunding 8 Rage. Draught of Souls has had its damage reduced by 20% for Arms Warriors. All abilities have received a 10% damage buff on top of all other changes below. Auto attack generation increased by 10%, whilst Critical Strikes generate 30% bonus Rage, down from 50%. Mastery scaling has been reduced by 20%. Cleave deals 20% additional damage. Colossus Smash cooldown reduced to 20 seconds from 30, and deals 10% increased damage. Dauntless reduced to 10% Rage cost reduction from 20%. Execute damage increased by 25%, and if the target does not die 30% of the Rage spent is refunded. Precise Strikes now causes Colossus Smash to increase the Critical Strike chance of your next Mortal Strike or Execute by 10% per rank. Shattered Defenses now causes Colossus Smash to increase the damage dealt by your next Mortal Strike or Execute by 60% (up from 30%), but no longer increases Critical Strike chance. Slam damage increased by 35%. Void Cleave damage increased by 100%. Whirlwind damage increased to 90% weapon damage, but Rage cost increased to 30 (up from 25%).
