Glad you enjoyed it! I will say that the amount of work that went into it in such a short time gave me some pretty gnarly blisters.

Great build Chris! That commander will certainly take care of the joinery going together! Have to add that auger bit to my christmas list! Looking forward to seeing you at workbenchcon in February!

Right on! You'll actually be able to see the mallet at WBC too. I'm probably bringing it.

Very nice! and I hate to say it but I enjoyed the food smashing. I wonder how a chamfer bit in a router would handle the cork rubber.

Great mallet chris, love the joinery and how the ash looks finished. And of course had to smash aome fruit with it. I hear you on the jig saw it always has trouble with thicker wood. Maybe a large coping saw would work better

What are the dimensions of the mallet?
@CowDogCraftWorks4 ай бұрын
It’s been a long time since I’ve made it so I’d have to go measure it. If I had to guess though… the head is probably like a 10x8 face and 12” long. Handle is probably 48”.

Try building a Mallet similar to yours , but making the head out of Black Locust and the Handle out of Osage Orange . That , is a Real Mallet . A one time build that Definetly does the Job , for life .
