I don't want to be a "killjoy" now. But Ireland is a major producer of dairy products. A cow has to give birth to a calf every year to keep producing milk. These "cows" are all young bulls that are slaughtered in a few months because they are not needed for milk production. I used to go for walks past a bull cow and calf. I'd start bringing treats and they'd see me from afar and start the stampede. I told a friend about it and he said..cows are not like dogs..you can't train them. One day he walked with me and here they came. He was so scared because we only had a tiny wire fence not a wall. The bull stopped right before the fence and blew a big load of snot at my friend. Made a believer out of him 😆. I love cows...but I also like to eat steak. Somehow I am able to reconcile the two, but you don't have to keep them in a torturous environment. I buy meat from local farmers that keep them in the pasture. I asked the owner of those whether they would become steaks and he said no, they were pets for a tax deduction on his land. Well that's nice. If I had land I'd want a highland cow to brush 😆.

Swedish cows on pasture, both cows and bulls and calves are like this, musical, too. I have sang to cows who are not familiar with me, and they do like it and remember it, and come forward another time. It's heartwarming and beautiful. Those sensitive long eye-lashes seen up close, you will love them, so do sing - a little out of tune doesn't matter, but do your best, that's what they love the most. Thank you for this treat!

Cows are surprisingly receptive to performances. Many years ago, our friends from England invited us to go on holiday with them. They rented a farmhouse in Wales. After a few days, I found myself with the sniffles one morning. I opted to stay behind and rest while my family and our friends went on an excursion. With nothing to do and finding myself all alone, I started playing a guitar I found in the farmhouse. When I looked up from my seat in the back garden, I found myself facing a wall of cows from the neighboring farm, just calmly looking on. I strolled over to sing while playing the guitar. I couldn’t carry a tune,mind you, but I seem to have had an appreciative audience all the same.

My dad was a farmer. I grew up among cows. I used to sing for them regularly. They reacted exactly as on your video. Some calves happenzd to jump and run with their tail up, which normally happens only when there's a big storm. Thanks for sharing and fir reminding me my love for them 🐄🐃🐂❤

It’s funny how much cows love the human voice. There are many instances of cows running to a singer. Centuries ago cows were called to barn by a woman singing and yodeling. It’s very interesting.
