Great project man! Thanks for sharing ....busy embarking on a similar project with a smaller glider and the same motor. 👌🏼👍🏻🤜🏼

Excellent! I did something like this A long time ago, worked pretty well too. I mounted my motor on the top of the fuselage as I was worried about damaging the engine on landing, great work!

I converted TWO foam gliders, one just a small hand toss glider and the other the large glider, got both at Walmart, same company. Converted both to two channel radio control and with .049 engines w/ onboard tank, 6x3 and 6x4 props. This was back a few years ago. Great, cheap, fun. Fly all afternoon on less than a quart of fuel. Hand launch, climb, fly for 5 -6 minutes, climb up till fuel runs out, establish a nice glide. Loops and rolls on the way down then plop it down at your feet.

Nice! This one is still a lot of fun to fly, unfortunately only when it's pretty calm as the wings don't like turbulence at all haha

Hey there, that was really a fun flight. That Cox really performs well! Why don't you make a head mount for your cell phone.

Been thinking about it, but gotta find out how to keep it in focus :/

That would be way to nose-heavy and if you counter the balance, you would most likely need a bigger motor. Get one of those 10-gram motors instead. Super cheap and less costly if you crash.
