Cozumel Scuba Diving with Matt & Mikaela

We went diving in Cozumel for a full week in early March, 2016 and had an amazing time! The water visibility was stunning, the food was delicious, and the sea life was abundant and beautiful. Some of my favorite clips are of the eagle rays, sea turtles, and nurse sharks. Most dive depths ranged between 50' - 80'. Scuba Mau was the dive shop we went with and they were fantastic.
All video was shot on a GoPro Hero4 Silver with a Backscatter Flip4 DIVE filter attached. Editing was done in Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

Day-um dude. Nice vid. Dove Cozumel back in 97, still my fave dive to date. Was my first seawater dive after getting certified ... nothing has compared since. Got spoiled LOL. Great music choice too ... big fan of Rodrigo & Gabriela.

nice vid! did you use an image stabilizer while editing? what did you use to edit it?

I used Adobe Premiere Pro CC and yes...I used the very useful "warp stabilizer" effect on some of the more shakey footage. It smoothed things out really well! Originally I was trying to use the GoPro Studio software but it just repeatedly crashed on me.

Yah keeps crashing on me as well. So annoying. I have sc5 as well, what export settings do you use? Thanks :)

+Anthony Carroll Export settings will vary depending on your source footage, resolution, etc as well as where you plan to post and upload the video. I assume that you'd want the best export settings for youtube. For that purpose, you definitely want to select H.264 as the format (what youtube recommends). Then under preset go down and select one of the youtube options. For me I used "KZbin 1080p HD" preset since I shot in 1080p. If your source is 720p or 4k or something else select the right youtube preset. My timelapse sequences were shot in 4k but I scaled those to fit 1080 in editing. For exporting I selected a few extra options: check the box that says "Use maximum render quality." Also I selected "VBR, 2 pass" for the Bitrate encoding; it takes longer than 1 pass but I heard it was wise to select 2 passes. For target bitrate: I used 16. For Maximum bitrate, I used 50. That's it. +Roberto Blake has some good videos here on youtube about exporting and using Adobe Premeire Pro CC so that's where I got a lot of this info. Edit: just noticed you said CS5, which is a few years old. Not sure if all those presets are the same but hopefully they are. I used the latest Adobe Premiere Pro "CC" 2015.1 (9.1) to edit this.
