how can you NOT like Midnight Library, its actually one of my favorites simply because I have always been fascinated with the idea of being able to see what your life would be like if you just took a left instead of a right, the 'what ifs" and the choices you make can change your life completely.

Got two more recommendations for you based on these that I read this year: The Island of Missing Trees by Elif Shafak if you enjoyed the surprising narrator of the Bright Creatures. Its certainly not funny, but a sweet, sad, character-driven story of love and belonging. And second is Storied Life of AJ Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin - a book about a bookstore! Short, sweet read.

It might be a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I really didn’t like Remarkably bright creatures, so much that I DNF’d it (which doesn’t happen a lot). I wanted to love this sooooo badly because of the aquarium setting, but the writing style/the octopus’ voice irritated me too much 😣
