I am keeping your son in my thoughts and prayers. I just lost my sister 2 days before Thanksgiving. She was diagnosed 2 yrs ago with ALS, she hasn’t been able to walk for the 2 yrs and the last week before she left us is when she began having the upper respiratory problems. 1 week she was gone💔 My heart is so broken but I prayed all through this horrible disease that she would never suffer and she really didn’t 🙏🙏🙏 Your kitchen Debbie is so pretty and when you add your decorating touch on it, ❤ A Dream Kitchen ♥️ I love your sweet personality and your uplifting words. Believe in the power of prayer 🙏

I am so sorry to hear about your sister and yet so glad she did not suffer. My good friend's father was diagnosed Thanksgiving week with stage 4 cancer and died a week ago, also did not suffer. Thank you for your continued prayers for my son!

Let me say I love your kitchen and the red! I am not a fan of red but truly love what you have done. You asked what we are doing in decor for the holidays...so...here goes...with 860 sq feet living space in this small VT cottage it can be a challenge. I usually have a bare, lit birch tree as my main vignette, under it is a white woodland Santa, a sitting Annalee reindeer ( I used to collect her pieces), and a new wicker sleigh purchased at Michaels filled with vintage post cards. On a console I have a forest of bottle brush trees with a William Morris inspired print of a deer hanging above, which is new. Lots of greens and those vintage bells collected over the last few years topped off with the trending velvet, loose bows and battery Luminera candles....all giving me peace much needed this holiday season. And I get it as far as spending time with loved ones. Since my son and family live in NYC I won't see them until after the holidays. I always make this a special time with just me and my partner in life and friends. Your touching displays giving homage to your sweet son's gifts will fill his heart with the joy needed this holiday.....bless all of you with the love of Jesus and the joy of angels....

Hi Debbie! Your sweater is cute and it looks so comfy! I love that red sleigh. It’s so fun. It’s cute with the candy. When my son had his apartment he always had a huge jar with Peanut M & M’s on his kitchen counter. They are good. That pitcher is perfect for Mimosas. That chef serving stand is adorable. My sister in law bought each of us in the family a utensil holder somewhat like that, one year for Christmas. I would probably put some of those pigs in a blanket and some fancy mustard on the top shelf. Or those small soft pretzels and dip, canapés, or even some petit fours. I’ve put chicken tenders and some nice sauces for the kids out and the grown ups love them just as much. The sky is the limit. 😊 That marble lazy Susan is lovely. I adore the snowflake on it. That wooden bowl is great. That’s a cute idea for your rings. That ornament is sweet placed into that bowl. That Christmas mouse is adorable. The mouse has always been “our thing” growing up. That reindeer is so grand. Your coffee bar is so fun! That’s a gorgeous shelf. My son was sitting here wrestling with his dog and was laughing when I was answering you. You were talking about us having most likely seen your shelf before. I said, “Yes, at your Kentucky Derby gathering.” Then you mentioned your Kentucky Derby gathering. I really like how you put those houses on the top shelf and those adorable mugs below. 🙃 My son Kyle is having surgery on Friday so he’s been around me more than usual. 💕 Those frosted trees with the red berries are great. I like their wooden bases. That’s definitely the same tree as the other. I love all of the family pictures. So cute that you placed that tin on that plate rack. I had those as well. I had a few I remember one was a Nut cracker and another was a Christmas tree with Santa and toys. I bought those in the 90’s at the dollar store to take cookies to my sister in laws. I love that garland with the berries it’s perfect with those trees. That nativity with the countdown to Christmas is wonderful! That’s spectacular. Everything looks lovely. Hello Debbie, This was a fun one. I enjoyed watching your decorating idea. I have to tell you, when you grabbed those penguin mugs I was thinking about your Spode Santa mugs and why wouldn’t you have used those, then out they came I had to chuckle. You’re right though those penguin mugs do look better where they are. Great call. I did a “ Nutcracker” theme this year, added a few new things mixed in with the old, and I am really liking this years decor. I even did my tree differently this year, and love it. Traditional colors ( red, green oversized gold balls) looks great. Merry Christmas
