I really like your videos. There is no need to rush to Lienia or Stonewell City. There are rich treasures worth exploring in the Weeping Peninsula. They cover various gameplay styles, and some good props can be used for a long time.

If you need Smithing Stones they can be found in some underground places; also, some Merchants sell them. Nice job defeating those two Bosses, and good luck on your next adventures!

Make sure you try the various ash of wars that you can put on your weapons, one of my favourites is storm blade which has a very decent range attack. You can buy jt from the NPC at the warmasters shack.

You found what I was talking about in The gatefront Ruins it was the whetstone knife. Something to know for the future is that 99% of ruins have a basement, usually with a treasure chest or something. Ruins are not the same as runes. Runes are pronounced roons, 🙂.

I suggest just being melee oriented on your first playthrough and mostly ignoring magic. Or if you do use incantations, don't go for those that require you to pour tons of points into attributes that won't help your melee build - you run the risk of trying to do everything, but not really being good at any one thing. Like for example if an incantation required 30 Faith or Arcane or whatever, I'd probably ignore it.

First off, your sneaking is better ✔ ✅ good patience 11:50 1:27:20 ✔ ✅ 20:50 failure😢 Kill the troll that you aggroed, then take your photos or run to help Boc. Don't turn your back to a foe. Removed the debuff from Fia ✔ ✅ 4:41 + buff to poise for a short time. BONUS *The hardest concept for you to understand is some game mechanics: 1> mob aggro and ai skill rotation (crouching, no sound, hidden from l.o.s. lowers aggro) (what you do changes what the foe does, health % will add new skills to the rotation for legacy/field/ruin's bosses & some mobs) for example: trolls start using their sword from their back. 2> horn wielder (whistle blowers) can be killed before they blow horn and aggro ALL MOBS IN THE AREA. Best done from behind/crouching 3> shield (up) => attack with 4> greatshield wielders (elite units) have deep skill set/higher poise. Summon, damaging spells, prep , jump attack + dodge roll after [timing is key], DON'T BE GREEDY, don't heal in melee range EVER , look for an opening after studying their attacks for weaknesses. 5> types of attacks: >slash [horizontal] requires jump to dodge/attack OR roll the opposite direction of slash OR roll towards (for attack opportunities)/away to heal >overhead [vertical] requires dodge roll dodge/attack/backstab OR shield poke/guard counter (caution versus heavy/charged attack that break stance from foes => look at stamina ) >projectiles [moving thrusting attack] => dodge left/right [timing], shield (up), dodge forward to close the gap + attack opportunity >counterattack (pierce only) => will add 30% damage buff because attack is during foe's attack animation. Foe can use this against you. >jump attacks [from above] => higher poise/(stamina depletion) damage to stance/shield wielders >charged attacks [slower start up animation + more poise/hp damage] you/foe is vulnerable during start up , caution with shield pokes, light attacks is safer + dodge roll afterwards. > spells [sorceries use int/incantations use fth ] => dex (a talisman, a special staff) will help decrease cast time (note: doesn't stack) lowering start up, some have damage components (look at spell scaling/requirements to increase it), some are buffs/debuffs (look at up left for icon to signal its activation/color surrounding foe to change to show affinity/type), there may be a status build up component (decays over time of not applying it/like poise damage). >AOW [weapon skills] 12:40 => uses fp like spells, can change affinity/add debuff/add another damage type , can add stat scaling, some can add a buff/non damage type, some have special effects on battle. CAN NOT BE ADDED TO SPECIAL WEAPONS (somber smithing type typically) >"wet" (rain, poison/rot, standing in liquids)=> take increased damage from lightning sources/less from fire/flame ones. "Oily" increases flame/fire damage on foes. * NPCs: Boc is found 16:46 again! Armor alterations is possible... wait for its upgrade, please! Becomes free. Also, learn the lesson (Alex!) To put away weapons/step away. % damage to hp + stun/stagger. You need to do that to foes. Hit it. 2:38:32 ✔ ✅ 2:39:00 - 2:40:48 this battle skill is very good.😊 Boss: Demi-human chief (2): can be fought one-by-one by using an arrow to lure one away. Don't whiff attacks or heal in melee range. 39:36 Minions will stop attacking when chiefs are gone. So focus them down 1st. 40:31 Don't use if you want to find dragon communion island #1. Attack aggressive minions... don't talk to them, they don't understand your language and they are part of a computer game ! If you kill all "in a group", flasks get restored to you for free. 41:26 Night calvary (Weeping Peninsula) 58:26 only at night. 1:10:00 (gone) Erdtree Avatar (Weeping Peninsula) has tears for your use... kill all you see, good drops always. Defend against holy by lvling arc stat, talisman, and correct armor/shield. Runebear (Weeping Peninsula) 2:21:48 same as in mistwood... aggression in a small space, no escape (death/victory). Grats. Drops magic resist talisman. Erdtree burial watchdog => weak to crystal darts (confuses them) same of the fiends here (gargoyles). Has fire breath attack, vertical/horizontal/aerial slash/thrust. Ranged is best. Shields help. 2:47:30 good.😊

This is a list of things you should buy from merchants, they are limited items in the game. ( there's plenty of other cool stuff to buy from them but these things should be priority, imo.) Larval tears, stonesword keys, celestial dew, cookbooks, pots, perfume bottles, Miquella's lilies and arteria leaves. Of course you can always come back to the merchants and get them later, but once you play the game for a while you might forget who sells what, so to save you some time I left this list. I just wanted to let you know cuz the game doesn't always tell you what's limited and what's not.

@@Ltd.Chris.S I'm always very careful on the things that I list. I try to leave things that aren't lore spoilers or telling someone what weapon to use. The things I mention are always things that I would like to have known the first time I played. I love watching Elden ring playthroughs and I've seen a lot, so I know pretty well what people struggle with. This is why I like to leave non-spoiler suggestions to help someone on their first time through. I also always mention that it's my own opinion.

Sorceries and incantations are both equally viable. This comment implies you should steer clear of faith based spells, but it is purely by player preference.

I said that she should approach them _very-Very cautiously..._ Absolutely of course it's entirely up to her -- and _must and should_ be up to her -- as to how she'll develop her character. It's just that to me, it _seems_ (from what little I've come to comprehend) that the Faith-based spells (though at first they seem fairly subtle) have far-reaching, truly profound ramifications....

@@b_g_c3281 not sure what you're talking about here, Faith spells are some of the most powerful ones in the game, no reason to be wary or suspicious of them. Maybe you're thinking of another game.
