I love using real things from the outdoors in my crafting too! We took the kids to Ripleys Aquarium yesterday and we walked around a little bit and my husband was cracking on me because I brought my own little plastic bag to put anything I found....found tons of the teeny little pine cones, we dont have any trees with pine cones around our house, or acorns either....so when we go to Bays Mountain or our cabin in VA or whenever I go to my Dads house, especially this time of year, I am always looking out for neat rocks or bleached out sticks and acorns and pinecones.... I also came home with a couple of trailing plants I found growing right outside of the aquarium by the river, I'm not sure if they are wild or if they were planted.... but they have the cutest little yellowish/pinky/tan ombre flowers and then shooting out from under the flowers are these green bean looking seed pods. I thought it would be fun to see if I could get them to grow along our creek bank. They're so pretty so I'm hoping its successful. I made sure to get some with roots and I have some cuttings too that I'm going to attempt to propagate. We shall see.😁

I was watching channel called XO McKenna and she tried different combinations of ingredients to make chalk paint. She suggested that when using latex paint, use 1 teaspoon baking powder to 1 cup of paint. And of course, baking soda for acrylic paint!

You done a great job on all of your items. I have used baking soda with paint before, I think Olivia was the DIY channel. But may I recommend you watching how "hot humble pie" makes chalk paint and explains the differences in soda, cornstarch and powder. She made a lot of sense to me and I do know when I used baking soda it did dry my paint out pretty bad. I thought it was because I made to much at once. Again your diy's was beautiful. Hope you don't take me wrong by recommending checking the DIY on her chalk paint out. If you got more new fall things in mind, go for it.

Please completely cover the grass prior to spray painting. Any residue will not only kill the grass, it will seep into the groundwater and eventually into various water systems, including our oceans. Thanks!!!
