I do, too! I NEED that tree! If you did not need that side table, the chair could move up by the couch and no rug needed. Do you have a floor lamp to put there instead? Also wondered if that table could go between the two chairs and the black one come over there, but probably way too small there. Just trying to save the chair AND the rug!

Oddly, I love how you decorate even though it is a complete 180 from my style. I shop flea markets, estate sales, thrift stores, places like that. I love chickens, ironstone, old furniture all the things. I am a maximalist and I adore old books. I love lots of color. But, how boring would life be if we all had matching everything. Great job with the shelves, they can be difficult sometimes

Great video Crystal! I like the black chair where you put it. I would maybe move the chair closer to the fireplace, it would look cozier there. I don’t think you need to buy a larger carpet. I think the chair would look fine not on the carpet. I’m not sure every piece of furniture has to be on the carpet. ❤

The olive tree is amazing. It looks really nice in that spot. I liked the bells on the shelves. I thought when you showed us the 2 wooden decor pieces you were going to put them on the shelf where the bells were. If you leave them in the bowl, maybe put something in the bowl to elevate them . They are very interesting but you don’t see them much in the bowl. Living room looks nice and cozy.

Crystal, you have always been one of my favorite channels. I’ll confess I drew more inspiration from your decorating in your previous home because it’s more my style. But even though you’ve evolved (and I haven’t) that’s not to say what you do in your new home always look like it’s showroom worthy. You have a way of putting things together that just looks so professionally decorated. I’ll admit I am an older generation and this question is by no means intended to be taken wrong (and I hope I don’t have lots of viewers jumping on me) , it is a sincere question. I really like the coziness that pillows and blankets make when they’re in the chairs and couches, but my question is, it’s so pretty and perfect looking, if I’m a visitor in a home decorated like that I’m afraid I’d be uncomfortable sitting down. Is it ok to move them, sit on or against them.? Sorry if this is stupid, like I say, I just may be old and don’t understand the right thing to do.

As a hostess with lots of pillows on my couch I always tell guests that can certainly lay on them or remove them. All of my guests want to use them to the shock of my husband who always moves them out of the way! 🤣

Your shelves look beautiful! You have a good eye for shelf styling. I learned a tip a while back that made things easier for me when styling a bookcase. First, do two groupings on the top shelf. Then on the next shelf below it, style objects all the way across. Then on the next shelf below that, do two grouping. And continue to alternate until you’ve styled the entire bookcase. I use to spend hours trying to get things right, but since I started doing this, it’s helped me so much.

Crystal, your shelves look beautiful as usual. I notice that every time you have a pair of something, like vases or candlesticks etc., you always set the shorter one on the outside. I always put the taller one on the outside. I wonder why we do the opposite and if one is more preferred over the other. It would be interesting to know what your viewers think. I sent a pic of my fireplace to a friend who has a decor shop...l had decorated it with the center wall art "off center" for lst time & l wanted her opinion. She liked it but she asked me if lm left handed, which l am! Wondered if our "handedness" has anything to do with things like the candle placement...ld do the big one on outside too! Pitcher handles always look wrong to me by some people too??? Weird huh?
