I like 2 decorate 4 winter. Just dried fruit, greens & twinkle lights above my kitchen cabinets. Small trees decorate my window boxes with woodburned snowflakes from Birch trees rounds, + birds with twinkle lights. Winter months do seem dark & grey. I live in the Willamette valley in Oregon. We recently had a severe ice storm followed by a severe windstorm knocking out power for days. It was 55° inside my cottage. I lost a great deal of my roof also, but feel so happy that the power is back on & we r all well. Building a puzzle by lantern light gave me something 2 do while snuggled up with a warm blanket. Those pretty throws really do come in handy, & do get used!

Hey Rebekah!!!! I put a tree in our room too...I had it for Christmas but I took the ornaments off and just left warm white lights!!!! You guys have been dealing with horrible weather like us as well!!! So glad you guys stayed safe and you were able to spend the holidays with your in-laws! Sweet baby Holstein hanging out with you. Your bedroom looks amazing. I decorate my bedroom for Christmas but decided I was going to decorate for winter when the Christmas decor first came out this year. I saw lots of snowflakes and a beautiful gray pillow with a large white snowflake on it so that is my theme. I love all the lights during the winter so I am leaving my skinny flocked tree in there but just removing the ornaments. God bless you as well!

Im in CA so i dont do the Winter decor, but i do put Christmas decor in every room in my home Heres a suggestion since the lights went out on your Skinny Tree. I use the Bush lights as a blanket for my tree. So easy and all lights are evenly spaced.

Happy New Year Rebekah. I was our of town last week and missed this video. I had to go looking for it today. Your bedroom is beautiful and warm. I started last year decorating for winter because it is depressing after Christmas. January is my least favorite month so I leave up several smaller trees with only lights on them. I add snowmen (I do not use them for Christmas) and lots of white & silver. Polar bears, white owls & white deer, although I have never seen white deer, LOL. As you said, I like all the glowing lights especially in the winter. We do not get much snow, but winter days can be gray and dreary with lots of rain. I am subscribed to Liz and believe she "introduced" me to your channel. It is so sweet that she recommends other channels to help build their followers. Take care.

I don't recall a Christmas quite so bitter cold for a long time. Also with all the heavy snow and living in a woods, I jeep hearing tree limbs falling around me and it's actually kind of unnerving because I keep imagining a giant tree branch falling on our house. 😳 I don't like to rush into Valentine's decor quite yet. Hi, Rebekah…I live in WV…we have had frigid temps. and a white Christmas this year! Many have lost electricity, but we were fortunate that we didn’t! I remove anything pertaining specifically to Christmas, but keep out the deer, evergreen trees, warm cozy candles, pine cones, etc. I LOVE Holstein’s sweater! Hi your so lucky to see snow.. I haven't it's very hot and humid up here we only get two seasons wet and dry. Wet is now its rainy but still humid and hot the dry is when it's cold for us gets down to 25 yes that's cold for us although early this year dropped down to 15! We were freezing. It looks beautiful. I am in Nevada, The Reno area so it’s more north west area and Christmas was great we were like in the 50s our temperatures. However today is New Year’s Eve or I should say it was, it started snowing about 930 this morning. They had said we would have rain until late afternoon early evening. The joke was on us ha ha. Anyway by tonight we had over 10 inches of snow and it was still coming down the last time I shoveled around 9:30. There was an additional 2 1/2 to 3 inches. My brother had come over earlier and shoveled it was at least 7 inches at that time. By the time I get my Christmas decorations down it’s close to the middle of January and I just have a couple things that I leave out, snow people. And I have a saying I put out on my front door it says just add snow and hanging down from it are like a wooden scarf, hat, Gloves, and I think a carrot I can’t remember now. And then the end of the month I decorate for Valentine’s Day. I didn’t used to have very much for Valentines but the last couple years, what can I say, I can’t wait help myself when it comes to holiday decorating. Yikes! Happy New Year

I love Christmas but I’m glad to take it all down now. It take me about a week to take everything down so I love getting back to a less is more look.

I love all the flickering lights. It seems little Holstein is loving it! I live in the southwestern part of Virginia. The temperatures here have been below zero and with the windchills it was -20 to -30. This is very uncommon in my area.

I think they said the wind was around 100 kilometers an hour at some points. 5 cm sounds similiar to us but there was defiantly white outs from the blowing. Hi sweet Rebekah, yes it has been bitterly cold here single didgets with wind chill in the -20's to -30's. We did for the first time in many many years have a white Christmas and I absolutely loved it. I loved the jewelry, the lipstick 💄 necklace reminded me of my mama. She would have loved it. Little Holstein was just precious laying there watching you. He's such a good boy. Your bedroom turned out beautiful, so cozy. I love the greens, creams, and another color mixed in, it's so pretty. That's what I have in my bedroom. Yes I do decorate for winter. I use lots of snowmen, snowflakes trees, candles and some greenery. We spent Christmas afternoon with our daughter and her husband and most of the grandchildren. We had a very nice Christmas day and I do know you had to miss Christmas service and time with your father and I'm so sorry. I know you and your husband were safe and warm. I truely always pray to have that every year as it is so magical💓 Aww your Mama sounds like mine. They loved their lipstick. My Mom always had a bright red lip and I love that necklace because it makes me think of her💓 Holstein is defiantly a little sweet heart. He is still getting used to his short hair so that's why I keep that little coat on him. Hopefully it comes in fast as they had to go a bit lower than normal. Rebekah our Christmas was very cold but no snow . There was a little ice but not bad. We were able to get together for our family Christmas Eve and Christmas dinner celebration with family. You bedroom looks so cozy and inviting it would be hard to get out of bed in the cold mornings. Holstein looked adorable in his sweater. God bless sweetie.

Hi Rebekah, Sounds like your weather has been a little crazy too. Here in lower MI, We’ve had cold & wind with a few inches of snow too over the past week. But each day now it’s getting a tad warmer. 🥳. I can’t wait to get all my Christmas stuff put away and have a minimal slate again. Lol Holstein looks like a stuffed animal on your bed. So precious. Your bedroom looks so cozy and relaxing. I love it. I start taking my decorations down Jan 6th. First room will be the dining room bc I will bring out my snowmen plates and decor in there. I don’t decorate the whole house with snowmen but will leave up a few things until February. Our weather has gradually warmed up. Today it was in the 40’s and by the end of the week it’s to be in the 60’s on into next week. My kind of weather. Thanks for sharing your ideas with us. Here in South Dakota it was very cold and snowy, and lots of roads were closed all across the state. I absolutely love the idea of putting on a decorated Christmas tree in the bedroom for the winter time. I think I might try to do that with a small tree. I love your comforter. I love trying to decorate for winter. I actually love winter. I definitely love those battery, powered candles and then the way you use the pinecones with them. I will try this! I love my Christmas quilt so much that I’m going to leave it on the bed for a while yet. It’s a white background, but it has Christmas themed cats on it. I think the whole scene looks adorable and cozy on the bed. I hope he stays warm. You always have such a beautiful home, and a beautiful spirit. Have a very happy new year!

We have had bitterly cold weather, but since Christmas Day, we have been getting a bit warmer…YAY!! I do decorate for winter, leaving up Christmas decor that is Christmas/Winter❄️ I remove all of my ornaments, but leave the tree in our family room up, and it is so warm and cozy🌲 Stay warm, and snuggle up with sweet Holstein ❤
