I live in the North, close to the Canadian border. All my childhood December was like living in a snow globe. Mountains of snow, streets covered in ice, snowflakes constantly coming down. It was perfect and as a kid it felt like a movie. This year and the past five years, December feels like spring. It breaks my heart. On Christmas Day this year the sun was blazing, it was 50 degrees and in the north in December it should not be that warm. It felt like something was really wrong with the world. Climate change scares the hell out of me and every year Christmas has less snow, its not as cold, and you feel the affects of climate change the most during this time. Thanks for talking about it and pushing for change. It is getting very apocalyptic.

Be happy you didn’t live a thousand years ago when the world was warmer. Climate has always changed. Alarmists like you are pushing this “manmade” narrative because you want socialism and communism.

Same here! I am in NYS and it was so warm i went for a hike Christmas morning. I am trying to not let it get to me and be happy for the hike but it really got to me. Sending love from an internet stranger 💖

We moved to Minnesota all the way from Texas this summer. We went out and got all the winter gear and then there's been like no snow. Christmas was rainy and felt too much like being back in Texas 😟 It's scary tbh.

Your cheesy bread toast might be a total game changer in my house, Regan, I adore your reading content of course but I have to say, the little bit of cooking and recipes you sneak in truly make this so heartwarming and lovely to watch, and I always pick up some new flavor combination or new idea to make. Your vlogs are such a vibe, love!

As someone who has lived in Canada their whole life and has always had a white Christmas, it is incredibly scary and unsettling that we do not have snow and i’m wearing my light winter/fall jacket. Global WARMING is terrifying and I hope we can make changes in the years to come. 😬😬😬.

Thanks for sharing, Regan! I love watching your vlogs so much. I've been making peppermint mochas (just add a 1/4 tsp of peppermint extract) as my morning drink these past couple weeks, and it's so *~festive~*

Hi- so what steps do you suggest to take to help reduce climate change? What steps are you committed to? This year my focus is going to be about reducing my take out consumption (lots of disposable food waste there) and getting some good reusable grocery bags. I don’t drink a lot of coffee from take out places, so I’m good there.

I have to recommend The Wolf Den trilolgy by Elodie Harper. Couldn't put it down! I live in WA. State and it has been warmer than usual here too. We have not had any snow yet, which is unusual. Have a good new year!

I think about climate change a lot. I worry for the 2024 US political landscape. We also need to change our habits as consumers (like not supporting fast fashion brands, as fast fashion has a huge impact on the environment).

I love moka coffee. It's my preferred type of coffee. Been drinking it since 17! I used to do abuelita chocolate for the hot chocolate, but now I only add syrup chocolate 🙈 it's less work, and flavor is still good.

I feel like for me the reason I love this series so much is because I don't read or really enjoy romance in my novels, so because that's not why I'm invested thats why the romantic pacing doesn't bother me. however, if you're someone who reads more romantasy, the issues there will probably be more obvious or bothersome.

December/ Christmas this hot is so sad. As a kid I also had snow and ice in winter. The world turned in a winterwonderland and I loved it so much. Currently it is 10C/50F. Not that hot but the warmest Christmas ever known. This year /this winter will break all the warmth records. And that, I am an autmn girl. Craving for cozy chilly days.

I don’t fully understand climate change but I will say that where I live, it’s been a generally cooler year than normal and last winter we had one of our biggest winters on record that matched winters back in the 80s and 90s
@e4mi11 ай бұрын
From the small knowledge I know, the south (US) will get colder and see snow, mid country will get wet bulb east/more extreme flooding west, and north will see more extremes of hot and snow. I hope that I am wrong but I hope you feel better having some knowledge so its not *as?* scary.... 💖

I felt the EXACT same way about this duology. I just couldn't quite put my finger on it. I think the lack of slower development/progress was my main and most prominent issue. The addition of Elm's perspective was to the book's advantage but the whole thing just needed to be... MORE. XD

Cheering to climate change with a jug of milk in your hands is classic. Look into animal agriculture and climate change. Perhaps if you highlighted more of a personal change, let’s say, giving up animal products, you could lead by example. Thanks for your consideration.
@Blue-xk8vq11 ай бұрын
So you say what, use Almond milk? Oh wait, that's horrible for the environment too! If only vegans and plant based people talked and cared about climate change we would be in a worse spot. She works from home, she's already one less car on the road commuting to work.
@am100ish11 ай бұрын
Soy, rice, oat, cashew, walnut, tiger nut, pistachio, hemp, pea, macadamia, and many other non-dairy milks are available. There are so many options. More people than ever work from home and yet it was the warmest year. My point was, that it’s one thing to use your platform to mention climate change (which most people are aware of) than to actually mention steps each individual can take and show what they are doing to make a difference. Animal agriculture is a huge cause of climate change that some people may not be aware of. Even cutting down on meat and dairy consumption can help. There are so many alternatives that there really is no excuse and it’s something each person can do every day to make a difference.
@karit571011 ай бұрын
Climate change is natural. Not eating meat doesn’t change a thing.
@zukihoney13511 ай бұрын
that’s not really true. Even if everyone in the U.S. made changes, the top 100 companies in the world are doing too much damage for us to offset the cost to the planet. Not to mention that we shouldn’t have to change our habits when it’s those companies that could and should stop using fossil fuels
@am100ish11 ай бұрын
That’s a very sad way to look at things and why we are in the place we are in. Blaming others and not taking personal responsibility because we don’t want to change our habits.
