I read over 100 books every year and I have a couple of tips that might help. First off I think it's important to remember that you can finish books even without reading for long periods of time. Even just five minutes here and there will give you progress. Audiobooks are great and it can be a good idea to notice how much you scroll on your phone and maybe change that with reading for some of it. I also love reading in bed at night as a way to wind down!

I only read just before falling asleep. My goal is just ten pages every night (I give myself a day off though). And though that doesn’t get me through a ton of books a year, it still maintains be habit and does eventually add up!

Full time job with a spouse and cats here! My partner and I have reading time built in to our schedules at the end of the day where we put on LoFi, make some tea, and read before bed to help us wind down. Even if it’s just a chapter before bed most nights I’ve found it helps my goals out a lot. A Kindle is also super helpful if you enjoy romance because I find myself flying through those crazy fast.

My number 1 reading tip is to read things you're actually excited to read no matter the genre, don't force yourself to read something because you feel like you should or because someone told you to read it. The kiss of death is trying to read when you don't like what you're reading :( also, if you don't like something after a few chapters, don't finish it! If you don't like a show after a few episodes you don't continue, so do the same with books, don't force youself to finish it just because it's a book and you feel like you should :)

I have two kiddos and am a reader. The easiest way for me to read is ebooks on my phone or Kindle. Gets me in the habit of reading instead of scrolling on my phone, or if I'm putting the kids down to bed I can read while they settle. You'll find your rhythm!

Full time job w husband and pets here! I find time to read using audiobooks to let me read on the go. For written words, I try to read a bit before bed every night. It takes a while to get thru a book but you make steady progress. I also joined a book club so I have an incentive to read
@1910VickyАй бұрын
When I noticed that I was reader fewer and fewer books, I found that setting up a storygraph account to keep track of the books I read helped me a lot. Setting up a (reasonable) reading goal motivated me to read more and to not fall into the trap of abandoning books after a couple of chapters... I also commute to university via train, so that gives me some extra reading time... And when the struggle is extra hard, I skip the challenging books on my tbr pile (I like reading classics) and instead just pick up books that I've read before and love or are really short/entertaining (a novella, short story collection, poetry collection or comic books, for example)... Reading just one chapter before going to be can be useful, too, although as a hardcore night owl I struggle with that personally, since I prolonging my going-to-bed-time with additional reading time is not a good idea in my case, lol

06:36, I feel this so much. I feel like I have so many hobbies, including reading, but I don't know how to give equal time to all of them. Then my friends want me to play video games all the time (which is great because I love my friends) but I tend to neglect my other hobbies in favor of gaming. It's tough!

I read at the end of every day. I set my watch timer and I read a non fiction book for at least 15 minutes and then do the same with a fiction book. Then I just squeeze in reading whenever else I have time. One of my favorite things to do is read outside in the sunshine when it's nice out. I wait all summer long to be able to do that when it finally cools off because I live in Arizona and sitting in the sun for any length of time in 110° isn't advisable. 😅

I love this so much, very my style!! I have a full time job and I read a lot. A way that helps to read more is literally just reading at night even if’s for a little bit or reading a bit in the morning!! I usually set aside 1 hour for reading. But sometimes it will only be for like 30 minutes. Audiobooks help a lot if you commute to a lot of places! Figuring out what you like to read is also important too!! I got back into reading after I finished college around 2021 and booktok books were popular. Some of them are pretty good and some aren’t. I think finding a genre you like and finding creators you like to rec good books helps to motivate you to read more too!!
@msellenandreaАй бұрын
For many years, I would pretty much only read at night and I would still read like 40 books a year. After I started reading more during the day, I am up to over 100. It's honestly doesn't take that much to get through a lot of books. You just have to be consistent!

Super avid reader here (150+ books per year. I'm not sure if that's cool or embarrassing but it is what it is lol) You would think this means I'm reading all day every day but Im not at all. Here are some tricks. Always have your book with you. Life is waiting most of the time, and if there's a wait, Im reading a few pages. My son likes me to lay with him while he falls asleep so for that 20 mins, you know Im reading. So you don't need hours on end to finish books. I have an audiobook for the car! Audiobooks are 100000% reading. I have ADHD, and can only listen to audiobooks at 2x speed or I get irritated. lol So that helps in getting them done quicker as well. READ WHAT YOU ENJOY! If you fall into the trap of book clubs and reading what others pick for you, and you don't really care about the book it will take you a million times longer to finish and put you in a slump. I never thought I would be a romance girly, but I struggle to put a romcom down and that makes it a quick read too. Do I read more on days that allow, absolutely. But Im a full time working mom of two and time is hardly ever on my side. So I believe in you! My top tip for you would be to listen to audiobooks while you design.

I know that you already have a stack of books. but i’ve been in the same situation and i do audio books atleast a few. Where i start the free trial to get a credit in the app that i can use to get a book. Then just cancel the free trial via ur subscription settings on ur phone and you still have the amount of time they gave you. then online when finished i returned the book and got another credit. but you can only do that so many times. For me it was 2 times. lol hope this helps. GL!!😽
@Lauren-227Ай бұрын
If you can set yourself the goal of “read at least 10 minutes of a book three days a week” or something along those lines and do that but don’t time yourself, you’ll often end up reading over that amount of time and then once you get into the book find it easier? Just one thing you could try :)
