I've been having the same issue. 🤦 So annoying when they want to sit a book with apart. Even turning off the grid doesn't help.

Hey! Fellow switch user here. Try turning off the grid by hitting the zr button. I have no issues doing this. Let me know if you still have issues I can try and help. ❤

Omg i recently did this and i figured out that certain books like the romance and carei (idk how to spell it) books take up alot of space so u have to place them next to smaller books like the astromer tone i think but u cant rlly tell which books are smaller
