I live on a hobbie farm. Big greenhouse, live stock, orchard. All done by me. I do my chores then I game. Today I'm making insulation for my chicken coup. Heavy duty plastic layer of cardboard 2 inchs of sheep wool another layer of cardboard then wrap it up in the plastic. Making a 3 to 4 inch thick insulation. Which then I'll slide between my beams in my coop. Keeping them in place with 4x1. And I play games every day. I have a gaming PC, 3DS, Switch and steamdeck.

This man is actually living my dream im about to turn 17 and I'm going into IT so I can get a remote job and live this sort of life just seems so cool being able to go anywhere I want while still having the comfort of home I honestly cannot imagine anything better. By the time I'm able to live like this the ally will probably be outdated but devices like it and the deck are so perfect for van life. The second I've saved enough money im going to do up a van and explore the great world outside our doors I actually cannot wait.

I actually see alot of people doing that because they are living in these 1 room appartments that ussually dont come with a bathroom so people just shower at the gym/pool because they have showers for public use. I actually saw the episode where he was washing his hair in the little sink in his van and the first thing that came to mind was that i could never do something like that because im way to spoiled and i cant live without a shower/bath. I gotta give this guy credit for bëing able to live like this and just having the freedom to go where ever he wants since im kinda rooted in place and i never travel but i geuss that's the main reason this channel has such a pull on me.

as a gamer who lives with depression in a fairly urban area, i had a smile on my face throughout this whole video. if my life were a little different, maybe i'd try to go on my own vanlife journey too :) edit for further context since there's been some replies: when i say i "live with depression" that's frankly an enormous fucking euphemism and generalization for the struggles i go through. i am, for all intents and purposes, disabled because of the mental health issues i have faced every day for over 20 years and have been in serious treatment for over a decade. when i say "if my life were a little different," i mean "if i was able to even somewhat function independently." thank you for the encouraging words and good intentions, though, and hopefully some of you are in a better position than i am to chase your own vanlife dreams. ♥

Maybe one day you will have the opportunity, and we all deserve to be happy my dude! As someone who owns a steamdeck, the ally is interesting but not enough of an upgrade to buy it. I usually play indie games on it anyway. Native support for more games would be the main thing why i would choose the aly over the steamdeck these days. That said, i like that Linux gaming got pushed by it and Windows might react by actually improving. Imagine a future where you skip all that setup and just use something small attached to comfotable vr glasses. Hope i live to see that xD
