The reason you didn't know how Surtur worked is that THEY didn't know how Surtur worked.. I swear they give a Dev a card with his effect text and he just goes and implements it as he wishes. They seem as surprised as us with the interactions. They have refused from the get go to have a strong definition of terms and keywords and the game suffers from that. if the focus they brought to monetization was evident elsewhere I would be a bit forgiving of such laziness/incompetence. But here we are.

So you want an essay written on each card? Is that what you’re asking for? Part of the fun of the game is figuring out how a new card works with the other cards. It gives you motivation to want to get the card early cause if you know more than your opponent, you have an advantage.

What should I do? Should I spend my keys to get Gorr or to get Luna and X-23? I have 9500 tokens and 7 keys but was saving those keys to get peni, victoria hand (and kate bishop), and moonstone (with marvel boy and caiera). So if I'm saving keys for them I have to decide between Gorr or Luna snow and X23.

Maybe you play Wiccan route on t4 but seems like overkill to me

Based on Galacta’s text, it seems like she’ll be buffing at most two cards per turn. “Each turn, the first card you play at another location…” So she has the potential to be a 4/18

Luna snow could have introduced the “lock” mechanic which would have been pretty cool. On reveal, “lock a card in the opposing players hand until turn 6”. If you want to make it fair and balanced though, making it so that both players get one card locked as a result of the on reveal has more fairness in it as both players are being affected. It’s a bit ring based but I like this mechanic in other games I’ve played throughout the years and I would love to see how people can work around it in snap.

Target human torch and scarlet spider to get buffs with arana, namora, galacta, forge, elsa, agony. Hitting the Scarlet with Namora is usually enough alone to discount skarr and have a crazy turn 6

I know it’s not necessarily the best comparison, but before Snap I played a LOT of Warframe. That game is an immense breath of fresh air in the gaming industry. Weekly dev talks, constant dev responses, they LISTEN TO THE PLAYERS so much it’s not even funny guys. If you take care of your players, they’ll take care of you. They fix every single gripe the playerbase has ever had, revamp systems, fix bugs in a timely manner and only cost you money to get cosmetics or fast track the game (which isn’t necessary)- and people, like me, WANT to spend money on the game in order to support DE because they support us. The game has been out over a decade and you can see using public statistics how long their playerbase has stayed steady and slowly grown. They’ve never dipped in players aside from way early on when the game was monetized heavily for p2w before the game director realized that is not the way and it’s been fixed ever since. For that reason the game thrives, grows, and feels amazing to be a part of. Even when the gameplay is stale I always come back simply because I know they care. Coming from that game to here is such a 180. The ambiguity of silence within the dev team can not be taken for anything other than pure malice. They do not care. If they would they would speak to us. They would hold dev talks. They would frequently reply to players on multiple platforms with their plans to fix issues and implement changes. If they want to, they would, but they don’t, because they know staying silent allows most the players to wonder if they care. Not me. I know they don’t care. That’s why I’m leaving. I’d rather play hearthstone, rumble, tft, bazaar, anything than snap at this point because of how maliciously awful the dev team has proven to be time, and time, and time, and time again.

Funny to see Cozy and Alex on opposite sides of the spectrum regarding R&G and Doom 2099, when both are absolutely cracked. Although maybe their rankings are more about which cards they are more excited about and rather than power level. Personally I am not really interested in Doom or Bruce, but I'm excited about the complexity of Luna and Penny. I know most of this month's spotlights are pretty terrible, but you neglected to mention the one that is great: Bruce has Ravonna and High Evo, both of which everyone should definitely own.
