I’m having some issues I purchased a cpanel with domain and I removed everything out of the public_html, I just left the cgi-bin but when I upload and extract my files and everything I go to the primary domain and it’s still the same old website

why zip, upload, unzip (3 steps), rather than just upload (1 step) ? it seems you're tripling the amount of steps involved, for a process that may occur every minute of development.

What other ways do you use cPanel? I assume you would normally use Git (via cPanel) to upload / maintain a site, how do you do that as an example? What other intermediate items do you personally do or use within cPanel?

cPanel is the control panel for your website. You can control databases, users, email, and many other things. I will have a more advanced tutorial on cPanel coming soon.
