Further Questions: CPAP. Is It? What percentage of time does the CPAP remain in place and the airway pressure remain at the prescribed level? Interruptions; Adjustments, nare checks, dislodgment and replacement, position changes.. Under these conditions, is there derecruitment? From the APGAR timer, how long does it take to establish the C of the CPAP? Time to FRC establishment. Keeping nasal prongs on a newborn is like trying to glue a shoe to a wall.

Thank you for watching the video. CPAP in the delivery room can indeed be tricky. In this video I am only talking about 20 minutes for treatment of TTN, not longer term CPAP for RDS. We typically just hold the face mask in place for this treatment. Yes, you do have to be careful to avoid interruptions in the mask seal, but it can be done.

Thank You very much for sharing. Could You look for the use of Pulmonar Ultrasound to diagnose pneumothorax? This could work at the delivery room, We don`t have either the X-ray at the delivery room in our unit.

Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is an interesting idea for this. I don't have any experience using this and I am unaware of any studies or trials using this technique. Thanks for watching. Please share with your friends and colleagues.
