On the test I'm taking doesn't require the manuals. So hopefully I won't have questions referring to the codes because I can't afford the manuals and have never seen any or used any of them. If you're thinking about taking this course, learn grim my experience and just go with the aapc. I went with medcerts which I regret because they refuse to give you the manuals. I went thru a career center as well so I didn't have many options either. I'm not even testing with aapc so... who knows if my certifications will even get me a job. 😢

I think I had read that anesthesia is billed in 15 min increments. Would it be safe to narrow it down to only answers that divide by 15 evenly? In this case, it would rule out all answers except one. Is that correct and applicable to all anesthesia questions? Thanks!

Hello. I have a question about the neonate circumcision. Why wouldn't it be the code be 54160? I see it says for the code neonate (28 days or less) and I have learned ,with newborns and children, it is important to specify age. Code 54150 does not have the neonate specification. Thank you.

CPT code 54150 is for a circumcision, using clamp or other device with or without a dorsal slit. Since the dorsal block is not performed, you wouldn't use a separate code or modifier just because it was omitted. 54150 already accounts for circumcision with or without the use of a dorsal block. Therefore, it would still be the correct code to use in this situation.

If you used all four hours=240 minutes you have 2.4 minutes per question. Ample time to finish it even at the 150 min mark if you studied well enough and do your practice exams. Don’t worry too much about the “time constraint”. You have so much time per question. Again; STUDY STUDY STUDY!
