I spent a good part of the day on the CPKC Tomah sub and while it was extremely dead for the first three hours, I was able to get some good action. Since the recent introduction of the Amtrak Borealis (additional round trip each way between Chicago and the Twin Cities) there are now 4 daily Amtraks through here. On the freight side, the highlight was a Westbound mixed manifest led by a CP SD70ACU though I would get a SD70ACU (Maroon/Grey Block Lettering SD70ACU) as a mid DPU on a earlier train. Both the Eastbound and Westbound Borealis arrive in Tomah mid Afternoon while the Eastbound Empire Builder usually comes a little after noon. Due to issues out west it was over 3 hours late to where the Eastbound Borealis ended up getting ahead of it and the Westbound Borealis right behind all in a 30 minute period. Enjoy and don't forget to comment and subscribe!!!
