At 19:28, that Mcavity 6 chime reminds me a lot of NKP 765! It sounds very similar to its Nathan 6 chime.

Missed opportunity to make a 7 chime whistle (both GN and IC types), the Swanson Longbell 5 chime whistle and the overholt hybrid 5 chime whistle.

I had a play around recently at trying to make my own custom pack of whistles. Not sure where I'm going wrong but for some reason out of all the ones I tried only one of them ended up actually working. The rest either sound completely glitched out or have breaks in the loop. Any suggestions on where I might be going wrong? Still, considering I've never done anything like this before 1 out of 19 isn't a bad start, I guess 😅

Big thing is making the looping smooth and having a long enough sound, my rule is it has to be more than 3 seconds long, if it keeps breaking then you need to increase your project rate (Hz) on audacity or whatever program you use

@@CPLWTrainz Weird. The one that actually worked was only about 1 second. I'll have a tinker and see if I can make any progress. On another note, changing the asset to anything other than 5ChimeA seemed to just replace the sound entirely. Is there something I'm missing there?

@@CPLWTrainz Well I've gone through and made 3 second loops of all the sounds. They're a bit clicky in places where the waves don't quite match but I can always smooth that out if/when I manage to get things working properly. Both Audacity and Sony Vegas add little silent gaps at the start and/or end of the loop because rendering in MP3 just does that, apparently. Might try re-rendering them in .ogg and see if that fixes the issue Edit: it didn't. I'm assuming mp3 is the only viable format because making them anything else means they don't appear in the list. I give up 🤣 Edit 2: Alright I came back to it after a break and finally managed to get a few more working. Exporting in mono as well as fiddling a bunch of the other export settings seemed to work. Still don't sound 100% perfect, but I think that's mostly because the whistle sounds I'm using don't usually have anywhere near as much of a pitch warp as Railroader adds so they sound a little off at the start/end. Might deliberately pitch them all up and just use the H key rather than V and the mouse. Thanks for your help! 💜

Hi there I request some assistance I have installed all the mods required to run this Pack, pack is installed and even shows up in the game when I click the railoader button, it shows it as installed and enabled but none of the whistles show up in the customization option for the locomotives, thoughts?

only thing I can think is that either it was placed in the wrong location or strange customs wasn't installed correctly

@@CPLWTrainz its odd because strange customs working is properly, I followed the installation instructions and dragged the zip files to the railloader it showed both being installed correctly both appear in game under railloader as being installed and enabled but only strange customs work, but for whatever reason the whistles don't appear, I even have the required better whistles file that are required for the boiler tube 6 chime to work. maybe if I uninstall everything and start over maybe that will do it.

quick update. Starting over did the trick everything is working. I think the issue was because I had a previous version of the better whistles mod installed it interfered with CPLW pack so I uninstalled everything including the base game and started over and it works now.
