Just for Ryan Roossinck. Plenty more to come brother. West MI was home to the "Rope Class," an automated version of the pace tractor. That phenomenon would live there longer than anywhere else on Earth. It lasted until at least 2008, may be a little longer. I know I announced some events that were still using until de facto speed limits came in. 2 flags on the rope. One you couldn't pass and one you couldn't fall behind and if you did, you couldn't go back in front of it. The game was to stay as close to the back flag as you could, when you felt the load start, try to accelerate in to the zone without passing the front flag before the load hauled you down. It was fun game to have watched play out. Video come courtesy of Scott Thompson
