Just had my first appointment, more of a meet and greet. She sounds amazing. Here's to a new chapter. I can't go back to rewrite the last 45 chapters, so here's to chapter 46 and the rest.

It's quite mind-boggling that although CPT seems to be a well-established, sincerely researched and effective treatment method / therapy, it is almost unknown outside of the U.S. That's quite sad because I think some features let CPT stand out from other PTSD-related therapies. I regularly read about various psychology and therapy topics, as a lay person, out of general personal and societal interest. And although I do so, I never ever heard of CPT. Even the English Wikipedia article about CPT has only been translated to Korean as the only other language so far. Thanks for sharing this video, and all the best to all trauma survivors!

I'm about to attempt treatment for the second time. PTSD/MDD from my deployment has destroyed my life. My depression comes from chronic pain and all my injuries. Which makes my PTSD worse. From my injuries and humvee accident i was in, things have just gotten worse. I've attempted suicide 3 times. Once in 2012 because of pain. Twice in 2017 because of pain. I have to learn how to live with my injuries and illnesses because at this point im terrified to live alone because of the attempts. I want my independence back.

Lynn Ray19 I just started CPT for PTSD. I am a post Vietnam/Gulf War Veteran. You are NOT ALONE. PLEASE BELIEVE THAT. I just underwent my 6th back surgery. It's hard. I don't know where this journey will take me, but I'm willing to try. I was the last class of the Women's Army Corps and the first the first inter grated class of Army Medics. I've been in a bad place for so long. I'm in "Stuck Point" parts of my PTSD. Let's support each other. Both of us having been in the military, we're family. God bless you. One of the things that helped me was falling asleep listen. You can download the app and listen. It helped me, but I'm still a work in progress. Take care.

Lynn Ray19 I am almost at the end of my weekly CPT Therapy. It has been a long 12 week journey. I see some improvement, but it’s a ongoing process. I review my journal, and like when we were trained in the military, challenge myself, and remind myself. I can do this. If I could be trained to survive in war, I can learn to adjust in peace. I review my journal for strength. I pray this will help you. Keep me posted on your progress The Doc’s see me every few months. God bless and good luck.

Ive concluded my CPT Therapy late August. Everyday, I find myself re reading my "Stuck Points" and resolutions, and challenge myself to try one different thing per week to try to overcome. I just have to motivate myself to overcome fear. Likelihood versus Reality. I have to push the reality limits. I am determined to reclaim my life. Im here for you, my friend. Thank you, and God bless.

Well, I'm a little more than a month out since I've finished CPT. I've been keeping a journal, and challenging myself. I actually went out to eat and was able to sit in a restaurant, and actually ENJOY a meal without being that paralyzing feeling and knot in my stomach. I went shopping first thing in the morning before it got crowded, and was able to concentrate on shopping, not about "WHAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN". It actually gave me a reason to be proud of myself. If you read, and re read the lesson plans you learned in CPT, and apply that accordingly, I feel I'm starting to feel better. God bless and good luck on your journey. Remember, you are NOT ALONE on this journey.

For those suffering from PTSD the is help. There is a 14 minute video titled CPT-PTSD it's a 14:22 video. You'll see testimonials, treatment plans etc. If you happen to live in Texas, UT Health Science Center offers this program FREE OF CHARGE. Get in touch with their Psychiatry Department, and you can get enrolled . I don't know the turn around for an appointment, I PROMISE YOU it is worth the wait, not being stuck.

After what I've been thru and what others have done accordingly to me, which caused more trauma on top of trauma. I've done CBT those went out the window 9/8/2020. Still having to find my own answers without any therapist/doctor help.

This was the video from search results of PTSD due to MST. If you're on that journey, don't be discouraged this video was poorly produced, directed, and executed. We are already the minority within the minority, but our stories matter and should have the attention from the DOD. Here in the silos with you.

The world is an unsafe place to day. Trying to get a PTSD veteran to write about crap let alone to talk about it I see never happening.

CPT does not require people to talk about crap or write about crap. It looks at the impact of the crap on you, on your views of you, others, and the world related to safety, trust, power&control. The treatment looks at thoughts.
