Jay Park was from Seattle. Moved to Korea and became part of a group called 2PM (a really popular kpop group), he was the leader. Stuff happened, a controversy rose, he left the group (or he got kicked out? hm) and returned to America. There was a huge demand for him to come back. Later on, he returned to Korea as an independent artist. He founded his own record label too, AOMG. He's amazing. :)

Also check out Mommae, Put Em Up, Ain't No Party. & Aquaman from Jay Park. Complely different category than BTS. Check out Zico, Dean & Crush in Bermuda Triangle, Dean with I'm not sorry & Put your hands on me, watch Rap monsters Joke and Do You.

Ayy glad y'all finaly reacted to Jay Park! He's a really dope korean/american KRnb/Khiphop artist from Seattle, and makes songs in both languages. He actually used to be in a kpop group called 2pm , but he left to go solo and then started his own independent hip hop label called AOMG. Best comparaison would be like a korean Chris brown cause he can sing, dance but he also got barss too (don't sleep!). Defs recommend you check out: "Put em up" Jay Park ft. He started off as a BBOY in Settle so he can dance and he can sing and rap and model and etc. In his M/V he releases some in Korean and some in English and dance videos. He sometimes releases songs in both languages for both fan bases. you should check out Aquaman M/V (Eng), In this B**ch M/V (rap Kor), World Wide M/V (rap Kor), You Know M/V (rap Kor), All I wanna do M/V (Eng but has Kor ver) and Mommae (Body) M/V (rap Kor). Jay Park is the former leader of a well-known old-school K-Pop idol group, 2PM and presently is Co-CEO of AOMG. AOMG is a Korean music label known for it's radical approach to K-Music, visuals etc. Jay Park mainly specialises in contemporary K/R&B and K/Hip-Hop genres. One would say his fandom is split into two types, the R&B fans and Hip-Hop fans. 'Me Like Yuh' is a K-R&B song which has an obvious Bashment vibe to it. Cha Cha (the producer of some of his songs) is half-black and half-asian (for reference). "Me Like Yuh" "Everything You Wanted" full album which was obvious tailored towards the grown folks. He is 30 years old, hence why he's so grown and sexy!

To give you kind of an idea how big Jay Park is, he won Artist of the Year and R&B Album of the Year at the latest Korean Music Awards (think Grammy's but Korean) and Artist of the Year and R&B Album of the Year at the Khiphop Awards.

Jay park used to be apart of the kpop band 2pm, but he later left the group due to a scandel, but he later was apart of the label AOMG. Also he makes songs that are both english and korean, so it may not be seen as kpop but it is.

jay park is an american korean rapper, dancer, singer and founder of aomg. he was born in seattle and debuted in the kpop group 2pm but left after a 'scandal' he made his own label with his partner simon dominic and now runs multiple artists such as cha cha malone (singer, dancer and producer who is also african american) gray, loco, ugly duck, hoody and many more. he records and produces both english and korean songs. korean songs for example: drive ft. gray, mommae, you know, sex trip etc. and english: me like yuh, aquaman, i got this, i don't disappoint, and more. he does english versions such as me like yuh, aquaman, and all i wanna do. he collage with multiple artists and has become known worldwide after leaving jyp and doing it solo. he's more into hip hop and r&ab rather than pop although he has some songs not really into his main style such as joah and so good. songs you should definitely check out are ain't no party like an aomg party, mommae, drive, i don't disappoint (lyrics), all i wanna do (both english and korean), you know and aquaman :) and also please react to k.a.r.d they are a coed group consisting of two boys and two girls, they've got two singles out as projects not yet official and are having a comeback this month hopefully officially debuting the new song is called 'rumour' hopefully you enjoy!

[Warning: Long post ahead] Ok it was only a couple comments but in general I keep getting the sense that most international fans of Korean music (I'm really only talking about those who mostly/only pay attention to idols), and especially those who are new to it don't actually realize how popular he is (in Korea), I can't really blame people as I didn't fully realize it myself until last summer when I became a hardcore fan (I've been a fan since the beginning but recently became hardcore). He already had a good amount of popularity but it seems to have risen a lot since 2015 ie. 'Mommae' era (not really a surprise since it's very well loved over there) and even his title track 'All I wanna do' on his latest full album has become another hit over there. He's pretty much known by everyone and is very popular amongst the younger generation (20s-30s), heck he even seems to have a good number of ahjumma fans (he always has to be honest). He knows many in the industry and seems well loved and/or is respected by many as well (a lot of Korean celebrities, whether it's other artists or even variety show hosts, comedians etc.). His image is also pretty good, like he's no poster child for the perfect son-in-law by far but in general he has a positive image (his time on SNL played a big role in reversing it along with his variety skills and all the music he's been releasing). Last thing, people seem to think he hasn't been doing anything (again, I as well didn't realize), but it's actually crazy how much he hustles. Whether it's concerts, collaborations, tv shows, event performances (he gets invited to perform at lots of different venues), music releases he's BEEN doing the most. It's one of the reasons he got 'Korean artist of the year' last year, because he was doing so many things. Ok I'm done, long post I know but it's kind of crazy how misinformed a lot seem to be.

lol for the guy on the left BTS is bigger generally but frankly speaking Jay Park as an established former kpop group leader (the Group he was with was 2Pm) he is doing better then a lot of other kpop groups out there these days. Right now he is the CO-CEO of record label AOMG witch was his old B-boying crew in Seattle: Art Of Movement along with others from that group founding that label.
