Tactical Rifleman

Күн бұрын

here’s a reason why the same shooting stance has been taught for so long. It’s because it works. Our hands are like a gun vice and the the body is a stabilized platform for it. That all becomes much more difficult to accomplish when we have to move around and negotiate our environment while using cover and concealment to gain the advantage over the “other guy.”
In this video we are showing the fundamentals of shooting from a “compromised” platform in order to maintain better concealment of ourselves while working around corners, through doorways or other objects. Other than being a incredibly helpful skill for urban movement this drill helps shooters understand how to stiffen the wrists, which will be helpful in all shooting applications.
If you carry a weapon for self defense consider having your six covered by US Lawshield. You can get a lifetime price lock by entering the code PCT1 when signing up.

Thank you for the reply. Some people are right eye dominant, some left eye dominant regardless of being right or left-handed. Some are able to switch right or left eye dominance consciously, and some are "ambiocular", meaning that both eyes are equal, no dominant and no weak eye, the way it shows up is in the test where you focus on the target and see two thumbs with no fade difference between the two.
@TacticalRifleman
@TacticalRifleman 2 жыл бұрын
If you are doing this technique correctly, you can only see the red dot with one eye. Doesn't matter your eye dominance; you have to use the eye that you present the weapon under. Thanks for watching, TR

Wasn't Paul Castle's CAR system made for this exact situation?
@TacticalRifleman
@TacticalRifleman 2 жыл бұрын
We don't teach the CAR system because it is too far removed from modern shooting techniques. You either do CAR System all the time or you don't. All we are doing is taking modern shooting techniques, keeping everything the same, but pulling the pistol in closer to the face to allow you to squeeze through the doorway. Once through, you can easily slide back out to your normal shooting techniques. Thanks for watching, TR

Karl, this is a gem of a video! Seems "easy" until you try it😂 Karl, in what circumstances would you only use a pistol to room clear? As well, given the pistol technique where would you keep your rifle? 🙏🙏Next level content - as always!😎👍👍
@TacticalRifleman

This is a pistol technique. If my rifle was available, I would ALWAYS prefer a rifle in a gun fight. However, many times, such as shopping or mowing the yard, you aren’t expecting to get in a gun fight and only have your pistol with you.
