As the other commenter said, this quote is totally made up by a random online person who said they interviewed Layne but was later proved to be a fraud. With that in mind, the message is definitely relevant to this video.

I was at this show. Had same view as person recording this. Remember as the band was coming out to stage , A guy next to me told his young son This is what drugs will do to you. Never will forget that. Temperature was scorching too. R I P.

It's a shame the death of Wildabouts guitarist Jeremy Brown - to whom Scott felt a close musical kinship with based on the songs off the album - triggered this final relapse.
@echase416
@echase416 3 жыл бұрын
re: Jeremy Brown’s OD. Yup. Friends/ fellow substance users around the person start dying. In harm reduction (HR) training, they say to #1) use a test dose (eg 1/4 or 1/10 of a dose) and #2) never use alone. (Somebody needs to know what’s been happening info wise.) In my Canadian city, the safe injection clinic staff put fingertip oximeters on clients while they are on the nod. They also have a drug testing machine. They also teach that signs like ‘snoring’ can mean an overdose.

@ChannelEleven59
@ChannelEleven59 6 жыл бұрын
The bass player sucked i thought. Plus it seemed he was one of the many enablers in Scotts life that ultimately led to his death. But to be fair it seemed Scott was determined to do what he wanted to do. If it wasn't these guys enabling him he would of found others. I don't want to just pile on the bass player. To be honest the whole damn band sucked when it came to playing STP material. It was a half ass'd, rushed, mess.

He sounds horrible. Compared to the studio version at least. Gonna dig for earlier live sets of this song but I think it's pretty apparent that the drugs have seriously affected his vocal range at this stage. Very sad and this is probably shortly before his death.
